Jedi Star OOC thread

By Tramp Graphics, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny Beginner Game

People on Gorse, feel free to proceed so that Teeno can join the party, but when you guys head back to the base I'm going to have to pause things till Drall is resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience.

People on Drall, I think some characters will need help purchasing the furs, so anyone running rich will become Kark's favourite person right now.

@Rabobankrider , does tino need to make a check to intimidate elias or smth?

If they want to try and intimidate them it'd be a coercion vs discipline check.

You'd be rolling against 4 red and 1 purple (nobody's fool upgrades the difficulty once)

Just to let you guys know, I won't be on till after Christmas, probably Saturday.

@TheShard , @SithArissa , Korath has the funds. I’m waiting for a response to a question I sent the Developers last week.

Don't hold your breath waiting for this. I've got a question in since right after cyphers and masks was released

I recently, as in yesterday, discovered my own costing mistake with Elias... I forgot to take credit for the 2 human first ranks in out of career skills, which means I have an extra 20 xp to spend, that combined with the 5 previously unspent xp means I've got 25 unspent xp which is enough to buy 4 upgrades to the enhance force power that I've been wanting. The coordination, piloting(planetary&space) and force leap as a maneuver. But I'm waiting on the go ahead from @Rabobankrider to buy them now instead of between sessions.

isn't the first rank only 5 points? so should it be 15 exp you have now?

In career costs 5 times number of ranks. Out of career costs that plus 5 more. So 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 for out of career skills.

Ah yes

And you have to spend it per level you raise it. So going from 0 to rank 3 in a skill isn't 15. Its 5 for the first rank, 10 for the second (we are already at 15), than 15 for the 3rd rank making it 30 points to go from 0 to rank 3 in a skill.

yes each is bought sequentially

@Rabobankrider , does our destination have a large and stable enough area to land the Jedi Star or is the Ibbots our only option for getting there?

@Tramp Graphics , you can do an average survival to do an assessment of what you've seen/been told so far to figure that out.

Could i do that as know inner rim-drall with a boost because im from hete and been wandering the north recently?

@TheShard , you could do an average inner rim check with a boost yeah.

Would that fall under "navigating" a world, given that it deals with topography? If so, I can use Studious Plotting and Planet Mapper .

It's not really to navigate, it's to see if the terrain will be suitable to land the ship as you asked. When you guys head out there, then you could probably use those.

Ok, you're not sure if it'll be safe or not.
