Presenting the just finished Byatis.
I love the picture here, and some of the idea, unfortunately I don't think this AO will work well (i.e. it'll be kind of generic and boring pre-final battle).
The Room in the Castle ability is fascinating, but it might go better on a herald, since there is no mechanism that will ever have any sane group of investigators going to the woods, so it will never come into play. Question: was it intended that the life he drains from the investigator count as a doom token (i.e. would it speed up his doom track if he isn't awoken yet and would it then count as a +14th token once he wakes up)? I should hope so... But I'm not really sure what your intent is here.

Okay, I actually have an idea how to make this work a bit better (based on an idea of mine that I never quite turned into a herald-- I was playing around with the idea of a herald that makes Cultists kidnap investigators and bring them to Innsmouth and the Innsmouth jail trying to turn them into deep ones, but I never got around to spending the several hours of brainstorming that would have been required for me to make it, plus the idea didn't seem to exciting to me... Although I have to admit, it has a bit more appeal paired with Zoth-Oomog. It'd make for a heavily themed Innsmouth game. So maybe I'll revisit the idea). Make the Cultists stalkers and whenever an investigator has combat with a Cultist, immediately move them to the Woods afterward (even if the investigator is in Another World) and have an encounter. In that case, you wouldn't even need to alter the Cultists combat and horror statistics (the Woods encounter and risk of being pulled out of an Other World at a crucial point is more than enough of a threat).
