Star Wars: Revan's War IC

Pulled from his meditation, Krios opened his eyes.

"Good idea. So, any of you ever dealt with Mandalorian's? Wasn't there one who was helping you out? Where are you from? Grow up on Coruscant? I've spent most of my time out in the Outer Rim in various obscure systems." Krios rambled.

Silun nods at Armatta. "I was planning on exploring and getting to know the ship better myself, I'll keep an eye out for anything out of place while I do."

As Krios asks his questions, Silun shrugs. "I wasn't born on Coruscant, but I was raised there with the order. I've been all over the galaxy exploring, whenever the Council lets me. Don't know why they would make anyone stay cooped up in the temple when there's so much out there to find. As for Mandalorians, I haven't 'dealt with' any, although I have seen one or two at a distance in some of the less Republic places I've visited."

"I saw a Mandalorian once, on a neutral space station on the Rim," Armatta replied. "Their armour was what really got me interested in that side of mechanics. I want to make something like that myself when I have the time and resources. As for the human one helping us out, I have no idea - you'll have to ask Zoroku about that."

She stood up from the cockpit's engineer's console and stretched.

"Now that I'm done with the systems check, I want to change back into my own clothing. See you later in the lounge for a chinwag - and hopefully we'll find some decent food in the galley!"

Armatta passed through the lounge, noting that Zoroku was still on the communicator. I hope for all our sakes that that communication is encrypted! Or am I being overly paranoid about being tracked?

She quickly found her cabin and used the refresher to clean off the accumulated grime from their spaceport adventure. Once back in her usual armoured robes, she felt more like a Jedi again. Which reminded her to toss the mechanic's outfit into the ship's laundry. Ideally, we'll be able to return them later to the spaceport locker rooms.

On a mission to find some food in the lounge's galley, she noticed that Zoroku was finished with his conversation.

As Zoroku speaks, the nameless handler frowns a little. "I understand your expertise in naval maters Agent Splint, but last we spoke you were given new orders. The empire has declared the jedi to be a credible threat to them, and in turn to the Ascendancy. Unless your integrating into the republic navy will help identify a weakness in the jedi order, then you are deviating from your mission objective". The officer pauses and takes a breath before continuing. "I understand that your father gave the command to infiltrate the navy, but he is no longer running this operation. The Emperor claims to have sent two agents to the republic with the capability of felling the republic, but the jedi are still a concern to us. I am authorised to provide information that will help you in your objective, but nothing more".

Two Agents Personally sent by the Sith Emperor confident in their ability to fell the republic. This is useful... but how will I let anyone know... However I can use this now, against him. He lifts his arms into a pensive stance as he thinks through how to continue with the conversation . “If the Sith do not Know the Jedi then you have different problems in the Ascendancy.” Zoroku says still adamant, “As for the Jedi capabilities to fight, they posses no Naval capabilities of their own, the Republic is the true threat. Jedi leadership did not lift a finger when the Mandalorians attacked the Republic. ” He brings his arms back to rest at his sides then readdresses the Handler. “However there is one thing that would motivate the Jedi to work with the Republic Navy. And that would be Sith...” Zoroku lets silence hang letting his fellow Chiss follow his train of thought “If the Sith Emperor has told you the truth and two Sith Agents are on their way. They will join forces, the Republic Navy is the Jedi Navy. Thusly I need Entry in the Republic Navy, I need good information that can impress them.”

“Food?...” Krios followed to the lounge area. Maybe some food and more conversation might ease his mind.

The handler sighs as he listens to Zoroku, shaking his head half a fraction. "Agent Splint, due to your time away and your, personal connection to the old administration, well, the department is concerned about your loyalties. Having said that I understand your point, so I will say this. Admiral Karath has been identified as a key asset to the subjugation of the republic, it is imperative he does not fall into republic custody. If you ensure he is not captured, I will be able to provide information on the upcoming assaults on out rim planets to help your garner the trust of the admiralty. Karath must be able to evacuate from Cathar once his work is complete. Failure to see to this will be looked upon poorly" With that, the handler reaches for a console, and the transmission is ended. Zoroku is left in a hard position. The jedi want Karath caught to clear their name with the senate, the empire want him free to prove Zoroku's loyalty, this will require precision manoeuvring.

Zoroku sighs, " One would think the Aristocra's of the Syndicure would trust the agent who has been on the ground for 17 years. I will do what I can to keep Karath out of republic hands." He says only to keep the Handler and the Ascendancy happy, he turned off the communicator and headed to the medical bay his blaster wound was acting up. 'From the way he was speaking in both our most recent communications it seems the Kuruozo may no longer be one of the nine ruling families. I need to investigate this further but at a later time, I don't think I have any way to contact a specific friendly person in the Ascendancy without the Syndicure knowing.' He thought as he made his way across the ship toward the medical bay .'i will need to also find a way to capture the Admiral without compromising the position I hold with them. I cannot let them execute my family.'

On a mission to find some food in the lounge's galley, she noticed that Zoroku was finished with his conversation.

She would notice that after the conversation that he had with one of his own kind in what must have been their own native language that the Chiss was once again lost in thought however it did seem he was headed to the medical bay.

Armatta called after the distracted Zoroku, "Hey Zoroku, Krios and I were planning on making dinner - do you want in on it too?"

The Chiss turns as his name is called to see Armatta in the hallway, " Dinner would be good, I will join you after I deal with this burn I have. It has been annoying me all day." He says as he continues to make his way to the Medical Bay

"Burns?!?" Armatta was outraged. "The Healers let you out of the Halls without completing the job?!?"

She hurried after Zoroku into the medbay.

"Please, let me help you with the burns. Master Seltash insisted that if I was going to play with blowtorches, then I'd better learn the basics of Force Healing. And we don't know how many stimpacks we have on board, nor when we'll get our next re-supply of them."

Armatta moved closer, and closed her eyes while she focused. Right in front of her in the Force, she could see the distorted Force threads representing Zoroku's injuries. With a bit more concentration, she managed to re-align most of them, although some smaller threads were irritatingly insistant on avoiding her metaphorical grasp.

"There, that's the best that I can do right now," Armatta said apologetically to him. "I'm no Healer, but I believe that a good night's rest will fix the rest." She gestured to the medbay's cabinets. "According to the labels, the analgesic salves are over there. See you at dinner!"

And she whirled around and hastened back to the lounge and galley.

Force knows what Krios is cooking up - I want to keep an eye on what he's doing. Although I might be wrong. He could turn out to be a fantastic cook.

Her stomach rumbled querulously, complaining of too much excitement and too little real food. Quiet, you!

As the wound healed the irritation his armor subsided to a reasonable amount, " Thank you, Armatta." He said as she turned to head back to the Lounge, quickly thereafter he found the salves to relieve the rest of the irritation and proceeded to apply it to the affected area on his chest. Once he was done dealing with the injury he suited up once more then headed toward the Lounge to meet up with the others for Dinner. ' I'll need to find a way to capture Karath and have plausible deniability when questioned. How is the trick...' As he entered the Lounge everyone could see the Chiss was once more silent and thinking it seemed he had a lot to think about after their successful acquiring of the ship.

As Zoroku enters the lounge, Silun is busily trying to work out how to open one of the ship's ventilation grates without breaking it. Once he sees the blue skinned padawan, though, he abandons what he was doing and moves over to sit near him.

"Zoroku? If you don't mind, I had a question. I've traveled all over the place, and met a lot of species. If you don't mind me asking, what species do you come from? You look similar to a Duros, but my master, Master Garsa, is a Duros, and that doesn't seem quite right."

The small Sullustan finishes his long and over-descriptive question, not seeming at all phased by or even aware of how interrogatory he is being.

Zoroku turns to Silun as he asks the question " That’s the first time I’ve been compared to a Duros, usually I’m called out as a red eyed Pantoran.” He says having at him with the aforementioned red eyes. “I am a Chiss, and I’m from what all of you would call the Unknown Region.” Zoroku says as he gestures to his fellow padawans.

"That sounds interesting," Armatta replied slightly distractedly to Zoroku's explanation as she stirred a pot of stew on the galley's stovetop.

She then looked up at Krios and continued, "You were asking earlier about my origins. Well, I wasn't born on any planet, but on a starship, O'bi's Singing Star . You might say that an interest in mechanics and the like is in my blood."

Armatta tasted the stew and nodded in satisfaction before dishing up a bowl for herself, along with some of the re-hydrated and oven-warmed bread.

"Everyone's welcome to the spiced nerf stew, by the way, so long as it suits their species," Armatta indicated the big stew pot. "Anything left over will be refrigerated for another day."

She sat down at the dining table with her food and a glass of water.

"Where was I? Oh, yes. My people are the nomadic Trading Clans, extended families of various species who live on their ships and run various trade routes between the Core and the Rim. I wasn't a firstborn, so when a travelling Jedi hitched a ride with my clan and realised that I was Force sensitive, my family was willing to give me to the Order. I wasn't even one year old at the time . Just over eight years later, Master Seltash Chose me as his padawan. He took me on many missions to the Outer Rim before becoming the Jedi Watchman for one of the systems there. He keeps the peace and identifies Force sensitive children there, while I keep his ship and gear running.

"Speaking of ships, tomorrow I intend to build a hand-held scanner to check for bugs, beacons, trackers, and the like. Considering this ship's recent history, I'd like to be sure that it's clean from a security point of view."

Armatta then started to dig into her food, intent on silencing her hunger, before remembering one more item which she wanted settled soon.

"Oh, one more thing ... what're we going to name this ship? Spacers believe that it's unlucky to travel on a nameless starship," Armatta addressed the question to the group at large.

@Jedi Ronin (in response to Krios' earlier questions).

Silun eagerly scoops some soup into a bowl and grabs a chunk of bread for himself, sitting down to eat. He eagerly listens to the others talking, taking special interest in Zoroku's mention of where he's from.

"Really, the Unknown Regions? That's incredible, it's my dream to make it out that far into unmapped and unexplored territory. Although for you I guess it's not really either of those things. Still, someday it would be really amazing to just jump in a long range starship and book it for the edge of the map."

He takes a slurp of his soup, and seems to consider something for a moment before returning to the conversation.

"You're right, Armatta, a good ship like this deserves a good name. It needs something that's adventurous and elegant, and very Jedi sounding..."

His words once again drift off as he tries to work out a worthy name for the ship they've had for less than a day but that he already has the utmost faith in.

“We Chiss use our force sensitives to astrogate, as we do not have the same navigation computers the republic has. We call them ozyly-esehembo.” Zoroku says the Cheunh word for the whole group to hear, seemingly introducing a tangent to the whole conversation. “It translates to Sky-Walker in galactic basic. I feel it could also be an appropriate ship name.” He serves himself some soup and takes a seat.

“Pfkmph..” An-Djana suppresses a snort and stew nearly comes out her nose. Ozyly-esehembo.. As a student of languages, I should have more decorum... but I truly believe our blue friend is having a bit of fun at our expense.

”I would like to cast my vote for “Ozyly-esehembo.” Indeed, it verily rolls off the tongue.”

She takes a sip of her festbier, and catching the sidelong glances of her companions, she relents.

”Very well, I may have just enough to share..” she continues, producing a few more for her Jedi compatriots.

Armatta wrinkled her nose briefly.

"It certainly doesn't rolls off the tongue for me. How about Stardancer ?" she suggested. "I suspect that we'll be needing all the agility that we can get out of this ship."

" I'm sorry I wasn't Clear, I don't expect you all to be able to pronounce Cheunh, it is a difficult language for non native speakers, however I was suggesting the Basic version of the word, Sky-Walker would be a good name in my mind." Zoroku says in response to both An-Danja and Armatta, then continues to work on his soup.

Krios listens to the conversation as he breaks off chunks of 'bread' and uses them to spoon soup into his mouth. He shifted into occasionally into the worn cushioned bench trying to get more comfortable. He was ill at ease. At least the others seemed to be relaxing - and eating the food.

"Sky-walker...Stardancer...both sound good to me. No way a ship with either of those names will get blown out of the sky..." Krios wasn't sure they'd know he was joking or that it would be appreciated if they did.

"My master is a Watchman too and I've spent most of my time out on the Outer Rim, keeping the peace and helping out where we could. This is the first time I've gotten caught up in Council business or anything the Republic much cared about."

Zoroku turns to Krios " Do you think a more standard name would be required for this mission as to not bring too much attention to ourselves." The Chiss says taking his statement literally as he was never the best at hearing the difference in tone in languages other than Cheunh, Sarcasm was always his weakness in Galactic Basic.

Krios put a chunk of bread back into his bowl. "Huh, well I don't know we're going to able to get away from drawing too much attention here. I don't even know if they have operating ports that aren't run by Mandalorians. Though I guess Karath probably had some safe harbor here and I can't imagine that would be with the Mandalorians. I was simply saying I liked both the names."

Silun nods as the conversation continues. "Both are elegant but strong names. I personally prefer Stardancer of the two, but if we decided on the other I could see her as a Sky Walker."

His dark eyes meander contemplatively over to a bulkhead, as if considering wether the ship itself had a name it prefered.

A Lady would walk into the room hearing the others having their discussion. She had light blue skin, white short hair and wore robes mainly of white with soil brown accents. Looking to An-Djana. "I could use a drink if you are still offering." She hada soft spoken voice that did sound a little dry. Looking to the others she would give a light friendly smile. "I am Ive Virdas. It is a pleasure to finally know what the Force has been leading me to help with."
