Per RAW to activate a weapon quality you'd need 2 advantages than again, you used the advantage too add an extra quality "activate Burn when Blaster is fired"
this is a bit edgie... normaly to have a bad side effect for the attacking character would need to generate threats (like 3 threads to let the weapon explode by attachments like overclock setting, 3 threats on improved Reflect to generate Damage)
I while allow to use one advatage to add a negative quality (because it is pretty cool and thoughtfull) - I will not a low that quality to be activate without at least a threat! (there is nothing like auto-activating-bad-consequence) because it was added by only one addvantage, for a triumph I'd allow the auto activating,
But this is a bit irrelevant right now, because: once burn is activate it will always take effect on the beginning of the next round of the character that suffers it.
So in this case, even if the gel is ignited, Tanson won't suffer the damage in this round, but the next when also the 5 round turn starts to count.
But since I am away from the books right now, I will double check the entry for the GEL this evening to make sure that there is no special catch that I may don't know of which then again would allow for direct damage)
Theres no special property of the gel that lets you activate burn for less than 2 advantage. Had you been able to activate it Tanson would die at the beginning of his turn but you only got 1. Book also says it would use a mechanics check instead or brawl.

That is for using it against objects, which wouldn't be the same as against a moving target. So Brawl seems a reasonable substitute, though I'd probably apply 1/2 setback dice for using it in a way it wasn't designed for. But by the book it does damage and can be used as a weapon. There weren't enough advantages to activate Burn, though.

Aye, I grant thy the ability to do the 10 damage, even though ideally you should have rolled two set back dice for an improvised weapon attack (burning gel is not intended to be used as a weapon so by default it would be a improvised weapon), but as specified actually triggering burn takes 2 advantage, which is specified by the rule of "the quality takes 2 advantage to trigger if not specified otherwise". You did not generate that advantage so I would be inclined to say no; you cannot trigger the burn quality under these circumstances. The initial damage was dealt with in the original narrative; there would be a flash of flame and an initial burst of damage but the flame would not persist. 1 advantage is the region of minor bonus's such as recovering strain, boost dice and the like. The major advantage with this check would be your ability to inflict majorly painful damage that probably dealt more then a brawn check would have been (which in all honestly, brawn is a pretty good skill.)
Though that being said very well done! I actually had thought I had won when the lightsaber was shot down, you have taught me a very valuble lesson about humility! I do apologise, you have raised some good points about Transon's abilities I hadn't noticed prior.

@SithArissa already mentioned it, there is no extra entry on the GEL that allows for OOT Damage, so you used the advantage to creat the possibility by adding the negativ quality "brun on shoot" which would need 2 set back at Tansons end.
For furture uses in the Tournament: Let's handle the application of this stingy little gel like the application of the "Sleeppack" from ND, you have to increase the difficulty once (this simulates the risk of self burning with the 2-components-gel), you need a sucessfull Brawl Attack, no extra damage through sucesses. But therefor no possibilty of parry. 2 advantages needed to activate burn for 5 rounds.

An old and nearly forgotten research lab beneath the plains of Naboo.
After avoiding some traps both of you step into the same room, that is formed like a large tube, each of you through a different door.
while the room is long (Long range from door to door) it is also quite narrow, the walls to the left and right are at short range of you (Medium from wall to wall).
the Room it self is full of desks with computerterminals, photonmicroscopes, hydrodeanalytic-mashines, glasvitrins full with chemicals, two big tubes (like bactatanks) with a green glowing fluid.
Once you set foot into the room a little naboo-waterweasel that took here shelter is woken up, it screams and runs towards a vent shaft while tossing a glas with some purple liquid down from a desk, the lights get red and an system-voice declares: "Contamination allert... N-Virus detected....sealing of all doors!... analysing dangerlevel... dangerlevel for living beeings low, dangerlevel for the enviorment high! Doors will kept sealed until decontermination process is complete...."

Ohhhh boy. I will write up a little roleplay when I settle down for the evening; got a lot of distracting bits and pieces until then. But I've been looking forward to this rematch from a narrative perspective. Almost as much as my rematch with Bulk!

Tansons blaster barked out at the Jedi Knight as he recoiled from the agony, through the pain he saw several bolts connect with it's chest as he toppled backwards; a telling blow to most mortals. Yet, as he rolled back up to his knees, brushing the fluid off into the ground the short Jedi was gone; did he fall down a vent shaft? The Rodian didn't know, he didn't find the lightsaber, though the liquid that had burnt a good portion of his laminate plate
"Great, now I'm bloody seeing ghosts. Though; ghosts don't usually burn things. Hmm, oh well."
Inadvertently the Jedi had actually saved Tanson's life that day, by the time he had caught up to the experdition many of them lay dead, almost as if their lifes had been drained off them. Tanson turned softly and cursed, once again everything seemed like such an emigma

The Blaster bolts scythed across the lab as the Rodian kept to his vantage point, giving a dominating view of most of the lab. His visor buzzed as dangerous toxins were detected and his vaccuum seals snapped shut; this muffled the sound of his voice, though that only made his anger more sinister
"I didn't get your number then. Though; I'm sure I'll get it soon enough, along with each and every memory you took from me."
The Rodian saw the dial counting down from 10 minutes. That stirred another distant memory of something equally unpleasant, though for now it remained comfortably at the back of his mind.
(I can't find my dice to estimate the faces, so at the moment I am just going to make an attack at long range and skip the sig for the moment. XD 5+3+3 is 11, pierce 2, with one threat due to my set trigger. Vac seals means I'm not affected by the environment until 10 minutes have passed. I will chose to remain at long. I assume you want to reflect?)

The shot raced across the room and Arissa barely had time to deflect it with her Saber. Looking at the shooter she recognised the fool Rodian she had destroyed the mind of just recently. This could be fun. Though she had little time to play at the moment. She had so close the gap between them. A plan began to formulate in her mind.
"OI! WHO THE BLOODY 'ELL YOU SHOOTIN AT YA TOSSER!? I should come over there and box ya' bloody noggin for ya, pillock! Hang on....... Tanson? Tanson is that you? Bloody 'ell Tanson! Thanks to the unspeakable training you once were put through by your dark liege, you remember what TX²-KL³-S² is when you see it labled on one of the sealed glas tubes next to you.
In combination with Oxigen (air) it will creat a extrem sticky liquid that could hinder your enemy enourmously.
(counts as throwing/ light ranged weapon with 0 Damage, auto ensnare 2, and for two advantages it can render a weapon damaged by one point)

The issue is he will attempt to take her down non-lethally and is perfectly well equipped for that purpose. I will make the rolls now, leave them up here and I will narrate the result when I am not so obligated to deal with house work.

OH NO, it's a miss... Triggering Unmatched fortune! To caluate the facing of the dice, I rolled 1D2 for each dice that would potentially be adjacent to a Triumph. Excluding the singular advantage (which is adjecent to a T), the result is....
Two are! So three faces total.
I will spend the Triumph to flip the advantage and Two advantage into a Triumph, and one boost dice to success and advantage. The end result? A net result of 3 success (gained 3 successes from sig, gained 1 from set trigger to balence the books) a loss of 3 advantage (lost 3 from switching to T, 1 from set trigger, gained 1 from boost dice) and two Thriumphs.
The damage on the Nova is 7+3+2=12 stun damage, no pierce. The knockout grenade is 12 + 3 + 2 = 17 stun damage. I will spend 2 advantage to link the hits. I will spend 1 advantage to regain strain, one Triumph to inflict a further 3 strain and the Triumph to manifest a narrative effect. Will this be sufficient for a KO? ^__^
I think you would need 2 destiny points to flip 2 dice as 2 activation of the sig ability which you don't have enough to do. And I think the frequency upgrade just allows you to use it multiple times a session not allow you to use 2 times a round? You would need the 'Increased number' upgrade to affect multiple dice. @awayputurwpn @Nightone ?
This is so confusing I cant make heads or tails of wtf you are doing here. Why are you spending a triumph to flip? No where does it say anything about that in the ability.
I also don't understand what you are doing rolling 1D2s? It doesn't make any sense.
When did Triumphs start letting you add strain? I think this came up in another match that you can do that.
I think I'm out either way but I also think you are using this ability completely wrong.

Also you made 2 triumph but you've spent about 4? And Linked is a pre existing ability thats on a weapon or one that can be added with a talent, wheres it coming from? You cant hit twice with a grenade. Sorry if im coming across as snarky but theres so much about this thats confusing the h€ll outta me.

I have the control upgrade to reduce the cost of the signature ability from 2 to 1.
The rolling d2 arose from a simliar notification and the one huge problem with this rolling system; It doesn't tell us which face it is. So every time I roll with my sig, I must have a method of determining which face is adjacent to the T. I pick 1 as yes, 2 as no. I rolled two 1 (yes) and one 2 (no).
In addtion, linked was wrong terminology on my part, I am duel wielding by dropping the lancer and improve quickdrawing the nova viper and knockout grenade. I then duel wielded and used guns blazing to mitigate the increased difficulty by spending two stain.
finally, I appolgise for this character, if I had any idea that he was going to be this fiddly to use, I would have opted for something else. It's cute when it's changing one dice in the pool, bonkers when he is changing up to three on whim for one dp. I mean, boost dice basically become an success and an advantage unless one success is present.
You dont have the upgrade to affect multiple dice with 1 activation. I fully admit I cant soak all this strain but I'd like it done properly.

@awayputurwpn @Nightone along with the issue about Unmatched Fortune, the specific wording of Deadly accuracy is "When acquired choose 1 combat skill Add damage equal to ranks in that skill to ONE hit of a successful attack made using that skill." So during a 2 weapon attack the 3 extra damage is only applied once?
