Carolina Krayts is the best X-Wing podcast

So what are the thoughts on the hyperspace format being “op decides”?

I hope it’s not constantly changing just for the sake of changing. I’ve been super impressed with extended format currently, and I would be bummed if the hyperspace format crosses off some ships/pilots/upgrades right off the bat.

But I should probably be honest with myself and accept it’s not balance based at all. They just want to X out the glut of ships the rebs, imps and scum have to put them on a level playing field with the younger factions...

ugh... annoyed.

It prevents a meta from too obviously emerging, which makes the game look more balanced and healthy.

It's probably one of the cheapest way to get there too! (and may actual increase profits)

I heard it's OP decides, but basically "second edition 'plus'" format, which sounds fine.

As long as its Second edition plus the bad extended ships, I'm good.

so @Tlfj200 or someone else on twitch, what happened to the GSP stream?

I was half watching, but basically someone forgot to apply a critical effect, both player forgot about it, and it massively mattered later.

GSP stream caught the lack of application, and GSP refuses to call a judge to correct.

What if there were some sort of small token or marker you could place on the board next to your models to remind you of such a relevant game effect?

Worse that G$P claiming FFG ban them from calling a judge which is demonstrably untrue - as at last worlds it happened on other streams.

But when I asked Dion to show the ffg ruling, just get banned in chat. He’s just a fraud and an ego centrist

I think disingenuous is the best word to describe him actually. He is poison.

I don't he's a fraud, I think he's scared that if he enforces rules on his streams, people won't want to be streamed.

I can tell you, there is not a shortage of people that will be streamed.

I'm also one of those people would 100% prefer to be corrected by the streamers rather than finding out after the game that I lost, or even worse I won, because of that rule mistake no one bothered to point me out.

And I've played on stream on many occasion so I know what that means...

It’s going to get that way anyway. Banning dissent from chat is the act of an egomaniac.

Counterpoint: Maybe you got banned for personal attacks?

We know Dion won‘t interfere, however justified it is or we think it to be.

If you don‘t like that then don‘t watch the stream, or mute it, or best just log out so you can‘t comment.

Even if you try to persuade him: twitch stream during a problem on the table is 100% not the moment when he will change his opinion and policy. So that‘s 100% not the moment to try.

Saying he’s being disingenuous immediately after he’s been disingenuous isn’t a personal attack.

He claims FFG tournament rules preclude him from calling a judge. I’d love him to show me that paragraph.

But see that's an opinion, and a personal attack, by definition. It's validity is irrelevant, it is a personal attack.

We’ve seen him actually interfere in game state before ... running across a room in a game to remind his buddy that his opponent hadn’t rolled console fire. Or even yelling time checks to his pals. Or reminding someone about a missing stress token in the next round.

He shouldn’t hold himself up as ‘the most professional’ stream (and certainly the only one who monetises it) if he can’t deliver a consistent and professional service.

“You are being disingenuous” - not a personal attack

”you are a disingenuous money shilling ******” - personal attack.

I may think the latter, but I’d never say it.

See but the first is though. It is an attack on the person, ergo a personal attack. the second is obviously meaner, but both are personal attacks. Regardless, I'd suggest you calm down about this. No game is worth being this angry about.

Except for the fact you just did

Not angry, more kind of resigned and sad.

Maybe that's why FFG told him he wasn't allowed to interfere in game states. They don't have to enshrine the rule in stone for them to personally ask him to abide be these rules, especially if, as you have claimed, he has done these things before.

Interfering in game state is not the same as calling a judge. That much is crystal clear
