With Leia coming out, and being able to make whites into Blues, would R2 Astro on Poe with Lone Wolf, Spare Parts, Black One be something worth wild? Or is that chasing too much?

Ask again in three days and you might get actually relevant answers.
So if Tavson goes up by over 2, were you to field the archetype titled "BunnBunnBunn!", is it worth dropping Tavson to hold on to Thannison? Wave 4 seems very stress filled.

Leave Tavson alone! Hes an iconic character and shouldnt be punished just because the average xwing player is so bad at the game they cant deal with an i3 big bases forward only no reposition arc.

It's fine when it's my faction.

I agree. Passive mods on my ships are ok and obviously balanced. Passive mods on my opponents ships are destroying the integrity of the game.
Edited by Boom OwlHey, if I wanna joust Tavson and shoot at him, I shouldn't be punished for that, it's not fair!

If i am being honest instead of sarcastic for once, if you play tavson kylo lists properly you dont give your opponent fantastic choices really. Especially if you learn when, where, and how to go fast and push the tempo. Stalling and waiting with Muse is not the only way to force the engage you want with a forward only big base arc.
I have run Tavson so much that you start to get into a rythm of either getting the mini joust that you want or getting the flank that you want. Oddly enough if your opponent has to choose between taking damage and not shooting, or taking damage and shooting they end up having to make a difficult choice. Depending on the list its not always an option to not shoot tavson basically. Or put a different way as the Kylo Tavson player I have considerable influence on where and how that choice is communicated to my opponent.
So yea, as much as it pains me to admit it Tavson could probably go up in cost a very tiny bit. Almost entirely because he just yolos through gas clouds or into blocks which i find incredibly stupid regardless of platform.
Of course on the flip side of that I still find it amusing and have no sympathy for i5+ hyper mobile aces or box formation rebel beef enthusiasts that fly into the 3 ship 📦s that I build for them with Kylo and Tavson.

I agree
I do find the Ups hardest to fly against with Muse and and Tavsons ability. That 'is he gonna go fast, stop or 1 hard?' question is hard to answer, especially when you know he'll just yolo those obstacles.
Thing is, if you do dodge him that 1st time, you can sometimes render him largely irrelevant, so it's harsh if he's even more expensive. Although I guess he's a nice fortress if you let him just fly away.
My approach hinges entirely on slipping the Upsilons arc, or hugely limiting it's one shot, making it relatively useless for a few rounds, or even the rest of the game if I get some luck on the turns. Then I can actually start going to work on his wingmen. Otherwise I'm just playing his game.
Friend of mine uses him quite a bit. I'm often fairly aggressive, which makes him fear Tavsons faster moves, since it makes it easier for me to swoop in or around. There's a fair bit of mind games involved, he finds me a bit maddening....
He regularly marvels at people who decide to try and take Tavson on face to face. Like, of course I'm still alive and now have double mods, what did you actually expect here? Want to see it again? ok then!
Oh, I generally fly small base fighters btw, so I have my own flank deterrence. Not a clue how I'll deal with him when I put my Zuckuss or Asajj lists on that table

It's just my resigned mentality that expects what I like to go up. I'm also afraid of Kylo going up. Those noisey jousty rebel players that don't adapt may have an influence on costs.

I only ever play against FO, I've no real interest in using it, but I hope parts of it don't go up. It's an interesting game and feel it's good where it is.
Almost fear that if the beef counter goes up, beef 2.1 will rub it's hands with glee and we'll back where we are now.

Right away, sir.
Man the X-Wing interwebs are so sleepy on Saturday nights... why do all of you people have real lives dang it
had a great time memeing in Pueblo despite not getting the dice I wanted. I also continue to believe that the afterparty/friends/adopted family of X-Wing are significantly more important than the actual event.
6 months is a long time to wait for new points...
So my points guess challenge for you this weekend: will my list go up, or down? 🤔

Up by about 5
I could see Juke getting hit with another point, but I haven’t seen much need for any other pieces of that list to go up, really? Not that I play as/vs Empire much, around here. 🤷♂️

Vader and Soontir get played a lot which means that the designers will think they need to go up

The depth of bid that they can go to with a +1 is a little absurd.
10+ point bids off 3 ship lists is probably not a good sign.

I could see it happening, sure. But hopefully they can see that people just like certain archetypes, and so long as they aren’t winning an inordinate amount nothing necessarily needs to change on those lists.
You could make the same argument about Beef, but personally I feel like there’s a difference between flying something difficult because it’s fun for you, and flying something easy just because it’s easy.
If they up Vader by more than 1 point, I'm honestly gonna be a little annoyed. On the other hand, Afterburners should be init-scaled, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it go to something like 3/4/5/6/7/8/9.
Soontir might be the best they've done with a pilot redesign in 2E, so, again, if he goes up by more than 1, maybe 2, IMO it's a mistake.

I'll make you a deal, you can keep Vader and Soontir where they are, but then all Vultures go down by 5 points and Hyenas start at 25....

So, two questions.
1. Afterburners effectively wasn't played at 8 points. Do you think 8/9 for i5 and i6 are real prices anyone would bring it at?
2. I assume the logic for afterburners being initiative scaled is "boosting is better at higher initiatives", right? Does that logic not scale to say that every upgrade in the game should be priced on initiative? Clearly targeting computer should be by the same logic, as should things like advanced SLAM, r2 astromech, etc.

It's almost like we wouldn't have to initiative scale so many things if the pilots at those higher initiatives were costed appropriately.... ![]()
Yes please to 3 pt Afterburners for Vultures 😂

Touché.
I wasn’t thinking about premovement reposition Ace kind of stuff, so much, though I realize that’s what’s at play here. Still, mistakes are much more punishable in aces lists, and I find that more interesting 🤷♂️
