And just because this post isn’t big enough yet I think there is value in just bringing the basic 4 dice gun to keep your opponent honest while you bring the most thematic Luke possible

Quickdraw and shadow caster tractor beam.

How do they work? Is the tractor assigned before or after qd gets to shoot?

In 1.0 it was tractor before attack, now I should check it but I choose to use my time to ask you rather than reading the rules reference

Shadow Caster happens during the Aftermath step so after QD gets their bonus attack from losing the shield.

The beefy tears of sad players might make this almost worth it.

In the unfathomable case where VCX goes to 66 and Leia doesn’t move from 2, the riots would be so hardcore.

I know this is bad but I am flying it tonight anyway. Jake hands out focus candy, Wedge stays wings closed and torps stuff that Hera ions with her second attack. It's just silliness... but it's my silliness.

Rules Question- If Jake fails his Barrel Roll, he triggers composure. Action taken, then can boost and hand out another focus though to another ship, right?

VCX to 64, Leia to 9

is where the Lothal actually seems useable compared to where Hera will probably be in a month, IMO

But does QD triggers at step 6? Is its ability an "after you attack/defend"? Doesn't it trigger at step 5 when it suffers damage resulting in losing a shield?

1 issue with that. Quickdraw can trigger their bonus attack during the Activation Phase...
