I'm extremely happy with TIE Phantoms. Evened up my streamed game record to 3-3. They seem to like throwing me up on stream.

That was a great game to watch. You flew your phantoms very well. Good luck with the rest of the games tomorrow.

Was there a special requirement to fly all generics in a formation?

;)

So you were the one who thrashed Garrett's Interceptors!

He's a really nice guy, I'm glad 2.0 brought him back to X-wing.

Yeah, that was me. Fully agree, he was a great guy until late in the match I declared spinning was a good trick and barrel rolled a block in. Put up with me for that long though!

I hope he had more success.

Didn't think of that.

That why they pay me the big high ground money. As a tall person with a chair, I am unstoppable.

Tall people have really big shins.

I concede defeat, my good sir. I cannot reach high enough to knock you from your pedestal

If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a kick?

I think the reason I'm bad is because I brought sick bricks instead of sick blocks to my games.

Some locals are still trying to make the Fat Turrets work. Got a few Dash players and I think one of them might've found the glue.

Dash w/ Han Gunner (plus stuff) and Roark.

First use Roark ability: "At the start of the Engagement Phase, you may choose 1 ship in your firing arc. If you do, it engages at initiative 7 instead of its standard initiative value this phase."

Next use Han Gunner: "During the Engagement Phase, at initiative 7, you may perform a turret arc attack. You cannot attack from that turret arc again this round."

So Dash can shoot twice at I7 in the same arc. I know the answer is clearly, don't be in Dash's arc, but that's some strong glue.

Looks like you got some of the Han+Roark stuff going on with your forum posting.

It's much better with Leebo, ironically.

Plus those large base arcs are wiiiiide. This could be a good tournament combo for long days. Your games are going to be short one way or another.

Re: Fat turret use

Another reason people don't play them now - They actually take damage.

No lone wolf + rey crew Dash.

No Finn + 3p0 + Lowhhrick preventing Rey from taking damage.

No engine upgrade PS11 coordinate boost + sensor jammer Ghosts.

Although I fear the day someone finds the combo that breaks the game with two ghosts. You can make the argument that a ghost isn't a turret right now.

Leebo via C3PO crew definitely has better modification going it's way, but if the Dash version can retain enough of a bid (7-10) against other 5s, the barrel roll positioning could still come into play. Dash + Perceptive Copilot and Leebo + C3PO are the same point total.

EDITED: Although with Vader crew Whispers and Palobs running around, the Leebo Calculate tokens might be safer.

plus they can modify longer, as odd as that is to say.

This Rebel discussion towards the end (not done yet) is great. I do think there's more to explore with Rebels, people just haven't gotten there. A lot of the Imp/Scum stuff was kind of obviously good in a headsim, some of it borderline glaringly good. I think Rebel stuff will require time on the table. I plan to play a lot of (unintentionally) bad Rebel stuff for a while and see if there's anything which gels better for me than Scum or Imperial.
