It might be reasonable to assign additional conflict for Kai's willingness to kill the prisoner, though it was not acted upon?
Fair point. Next morality roll, I'll take it into consideration.
Since I RP'd Kamoa being busy until basically dawn, don't wait for any input from me at this point until we transition to the next day. So feel free to RP as you will or whatever. Don't want anyone holding up because they are waiting on input from me at this point.
I think that's everybody, so we can transition to the next morning.
This may be a bit late, but I'm finding the bold speech text to be more of a distraction and kind of irritating to read. It is easier to see, but it kind of dominates the posts and crowds the rest of the text. I don't know about anybody else, or why specifically this bothers me.
I'd like to request, or suggest, just using regular text (unless your putting particular emphasis on a word or phrase), or switching to colored dialogue .

But Bralane is so scary when she talks. Its like her words have to be bolded for full effect...
I am fine with doing it however it is easiest for everyone.
Oh, and incidentally, I spent 20 XP on a fourth rank of Coercion. Felt like it was appropriate.

I am used to bold for speech, and italics for thoughts, but will happily conform to whatever you decide upon.
I CALL BLUE!
I'm thinking about using white...
Maybe polka dots?
Okay. I'll use orange, and start using "quotation marks." Onomatopoeic expressions will continue to be emboldened (but in orange, of course)!
Hope your eyes like rainbows BB888, 'cause you opened the chromatic pandora's box now!!
I'm okay with that.
So I wanted to run an idea by you all, in case it might be beneficial to the game.
On another site, in a different Star Wars pbp I was in, the players and GM would sometimes use a shared google docs to draft out anything that might be a long, or quick back and forth type conversation between characters. The intent was to allow one long post to encompass the conversation, instead of 30+ tiny posts of back and forth dialogue. It worked pretty well in my opinion, but some didn't use it, or felt it was all that necessary.
What are your thoughts on it? I personally found it useful, since I tend to post in conversation format, especially in a conversation. Small comment/question responses, directly related to the previous information provided, like a regular conversation. This of course means that posts can sometimes be small, and a conversation between two people can take a lot of tiny posts. If it's a personal observation kind of post, or an internal monologue type post, it's not really necessary, as it's all one viewpoint, and can be typed up at your leisure.
Like the idea? Pass on it? Thoughts? Either result is cool with me, I just thought I'd toss it out there
I don't mind the back and forth, but I can understand how it can get a bit much, especially if you're waiting for something to get the story moving and enough of this useless world-building, Blackbird, you dastard * . And if you have multiple people on at the same time, there's the threat of ninja posts interfering with each other, as @SavageBob found out earlier.
So either/or for me. Although I'm not sure exactly how to do what you're talking about.
*I am just making a joke at my own expense.

Well basically it's just a google doc invite, based on an email address. Nothing really complicated to it, one of us, doesn't really matter who, would start a document in google docs, usually just a word.doc or similar, and then send out invites to share in on the content of that document. Then, we type out what we are sying, and it's a real time thing. Assuming people are on at same time, they can both be typing away and see the other person's content, and can reply. Instead of, for example, having to wait to see this post here after I hit Submit Reply, it's just scrolling across your screen like a live chat in some other form of chat software. Then, once everyone's satisfied with the outcome, someone saves it, and then just copy pastas it into a single post on the forum.
I find it's most useful for things like say....two people sitting around a campfire, as they share a guard duty shift, while everyone else is asleep, but they wanted to flesh out some bit of personal story development. It can be done "off camera" and then inserted later once it's complete, without delaying other content. Basically it's a way to kind of flesh out downtime, that doesn't necessarily involve every single person being involved in the conversation. Or at least that's what I find it to be the most useful for.
For example, in that other game I played in, we used it during a long duration hyperspace jump (like a week long jump or something), to let the PCs actually get to know each other. Do some Force training with in character descriptions, debate morality of the Jedi code, etc. And then, when we'd done our share of fleshing out stuff, we just fast forwarded to the end of the jump, and went back to the story.
It might be useful in cases where someone might have to take an extended break, and that means the main plot can't progress, it's something to pass the time basically.
And FYI, this actually HELPS world building in my opinion, so don't think this is me telling you to hurry stuff up I personally enjoy the conversation stuff between characters, so taking time to actually, you know, interact like humans do with other people, is perfectly reasonable to me.
Edited by KungFuFerretRegarding the Google Doc: I can see how it'd be useful, but I worry about timing. We're all on at different times, so it might not speed things up all that much. How did you remedy this the last game you used it in, @KungFuFerret ?
And, @Blackbird888 , I don't think we specified how the prisoner's hands were bound, so does one of us need to feed him his ration bar? (Or is he even interested in eating? Feel free to respond IC if you'd prefer; I just had Zik check on Mr. Ex-Whip.)
By the way, can Chadrik lose his strain since he had a night's sleep?

Well, that game was a little slower to post for some of the players, so a lot of us had a lot of time to kill between posts of the slower members. As to the scheduling thing, we never set a time to all type at once, it was just an open source document, that we could all contribute to when we had time. The people that I was RPing with tended to be able to pop on pretty frequently during the same time frames I did. So it would just stay open on my desktop, and I'd check it every so often. It would show you in the corner if they were currently online, and had the doc open, and then you could try and hammer out a lot if you wanted to.
Like I said, it was just a thought, I personally found it most useful if say, your PC and mine, decided to have some long, one on one debate about something while others were also doing downtime things. then we could just step to the side so to speak, type out our thing so that it wouldn't be broken up by other people's posts, and then when it was done, post it as one entry.

I will check to make sure the captive has not found a way to harm himself during the night, or is otherwise incapacitated for some reason or another.
Very well. Easy Perception check.
Perception check to make sure our captive didn't try to kill himself

Restless sleep, cold night, hard ground, lingering ghosty things. So no.

The prisoner has not harmed himself and just seems to be keeping himself still, or in a deep meditative trance. Feel free to think of something for the advantage.

Can I learn the captive's name with the advantage? If he does not have one, can I make it up?
