At a shipyard near you!

By Kaashifar, in Star Wars: Armada Painting and Modification

Well here goes nothing. I'll be posting a few things here as I go, still missing a few good pictures but that's a start!

Nice ships, the home one scheme is excellent and imaginative.

Always nice to see more rebel ship repaints!

The Dragon's Maw.

First ISD repaint, hopefully another one to come this summer. Sorry about the quality of the pictures, I'll need to take a few more with a proper background.

Pretty happy with how the lights came out all in all. Massive pain in the butt to highlight!

Great work on the lighting.

Jesus. You should do a lighting tutorial for how you did those.

Cheers guys. Actually I learned a lot from Darthain here ;) But the funny thing is that lack of time and laziness kinda helped lol.

I dry brushed a base coat Citadel blue.. (Imperial Guard?), dry brushed a smaller/thinner coat of Vallejo Andrea Blue on top, then finished with vallejo sky blue I think for the actual glow.

Dry brushing meant it actually also created that reflection on panels, which I think lends a level of realism. Fun times!

a great repaint of a bad ship (I personally don't like the three last FFG ships)

I'll be honest. I don't like the colors at all. But that's only my taste and I still want to acknowledge the skill of the painter. The Starhawk is especially well done.

Thanks Norell! I'll take the compliment 🙂 Yeah colors are subjective I guess haha!

Great work on all of these (I love the skull-and-crossbones on the MC75), but I especially love your MC80 and Onager. The gradated paint scheme on the MC80 is fantastic !

Thank you! They were all a lot of fun!

Thank you! Yes they are! I have another one primed and ready to go, debating my options... my friend suggested a Fire&Ice duo haha
