As for the callsigns, I generally assign one once the ship is painted. For me, wargaming is all about storytelling, and it's so much more satisfying when your minis have "personality" rather than just being TIE Fighter #42. I actually keep a record in my commonplace book with my various fleets...how many I want, how many I own, how many are painted, etc. Obsessive? Perhaps. Does it bring me an odd sense of enjoyment? Of course! Here's a shot of my Rebel Fleet page.

Painting scratches onto huges and Decis after each match in which they inflicted ramming damage ^^

Force, I think theory crafting is about 50% of this game's enjoyment.

I recently discovered Sabines Tie and had to buy one. I figured I needed a rebel tie fleet. So i started working up ideas for the rest of the Rebels pilots. Here is my concept for Zeb's Tie.
...and heres my concept for Ezra. Not sure if i like this one. It may be a little too on the nose.
