I've been poking just a little bit, along with some others, on twitter and FFGOP has responded...so hopefully they'll have something to post on Regionals in the near future. No definitive answers were given, but the fact that they were responding and our voices were heard is good. I'm hoping there's a tourney update next week with the next map and stuff along with a summary of Regional Kits.

I just hope that when they release some news it will be the app is available right now

With Legion coming, i doubt we will see many more articles about this game, though i hope they aren't done with this game. App release date is what i expect most

We'll see the articles that we normally see:

• Announcement and previews of the next expansion and A/V Pack Wave(s)
• Updates to FAQ and Tournament Rules
• Announcements about the new playmat
• Content reveals of the new competitive prize kits

Since I've been following the game closely (about 3 months before Jabba's Realm), there really hasn't been a whole lot of content to make posts more than once every 2 or 3 weeks. I mean, Imperial Assault isn't the kind of game that has new booster packs and release waves.

I'd like for them to have somebody (like @DTDanix or any of the podcasting/blogging guys) write up state of the skirmish meta blog posts. It was late 2016 when Zach Bunn wrote his series of articles. I just wonder if they're hesitant on doing so since the initial buy-in for new skirmish players is so high.

I'd like to see them do articles from like the top 8 players at worlds. I find that more points of perspective are much more enlightening--- and provide more material so that there isn't such a long downtime in between.

Also, it wouldn't hurt them to announce a month or so ahead of time about the upcoming release of information. I am 99% sure there will be a new map- but at this point, not sure it would be legal for the first couple of regional events. And new FAQ with some changes (looking at ugnaughts, weequays, and temporary alliance) would be even better. But, I fear they are waiting to see how HotE changes the environment. I believe that's a wrong path to take.

Even after they announce a new expansion there will be people on the forums eventually saying it's definitely the last, dying gasp for this game. I won't even start to believe FFG is done with IA until it's been over 6 months with no news/announcements.

Well, I guess FFG is not hesitant after all. Thanks, guys! And thanks to @DTDanix for writing this article up a while ago.

For the record, I don't expect anything IA today.

I think we'll get the app within the month (hopefully by the 5th like many are predicting) and a new figure wave will be announced not long after.

edit: All right, in light of the app apparently being released now, I guess I can cross that off.

I still think we should get a figure wave announcement soon, to get people excited since the app is here now. I know that's not what happened with Descent, but it makes a lot of sense to me.

Again, I don't expect anything today, but I do think that given the traffic here alone, it wouldn't be a bad call.

Imagine if all these people newly into or returning to IA suddenly found out they could buy Thrawn, Yoda, or some other fan favorite character? I think that would go over pretty well, especially if the packs were compatible with the core set.

Imagine if they released a Holiday Special small box...

They just gave us a dedicated HOTA sub-forum so I'm taking that as our Friday gift and am extremely thankful for it, honestly.

I am very excited for the state of this game right now. Can't wait to see where they go with it!
