I had actually forgotten about that book until this whole "waiting for HOTE" thing. I've been looking to start playing EotE (ha! Opposite locations) Ghosts of Dathomir peaked my interest when it was announced. But that was crazy, OtB since March.

So with HoTE shipping now, are we due for another announcement?

im hoping that this game will at least get 2 expansions more : endor and death star. after that im not seeing it being supported anymore.

Because people saw Heart of the Empire coming. I doubt this game is going anywhere anytime soon.

Exactly. I expect that our next box will mostly be out of left field, too.

And this might be overly optimistic, but it does seem like IA likes to keep something in the pipeline.

Looking at everything since the start of 2016, seems like we generally have unreleased waves either overlapping or at least near each other.

So, despite the slowed release cycle, we've barely gone over three weeks since 2015 without having at least something coming down the pipeline.

Of course, we could deviate from that now, but it's exciting that if the past is any indication, we'll hear about our next wave sometime this month.

Also, just throwing this out there- if we're getting anything around Christmas, I'd expect an announcement ASAP. Less than three months is a pretty short release cycle, even for a blister wave.

Hoping it'll be the long anticipated app. Not sure how much I'll use it but I'm for sure interested in seeing what they've come up with.

It's possible. I'm not sure how long they'd announce an app beforehand, actually. I know Descent's update pretty much came out immediately after last week's announcement, but I don't remember how the app itself was released.

And I'm still for some reason anticipating a blisterwave to accompany the app, too, but that might just by my own optimism.

If we do see another release in 2017, it probably will be the app. I'm not discounting a blister wave as Wave 7 did release relatively quickly but that seems like a long shot.

Honestly, I'm thinking HOTE is gonna be it for this year.

Probably too short of a time frame to get a box out before Christmas. I'm hoping for a small box before worlds. Maybe right before just to shake things up.

A blister wave with the app seems perfectly reasonable to me. I would think they'd make the app and blister waves interact in some way to further entice people to buy them, and it would make sense that they would have a new wave of those be available at about the same time to take full advantage of that.

It looks like there was only about 2 months between the announcement of Road to Legend and the release, and Wave 9 was 4 months from announcement to release. So even if we are pessimistic, it's very reasonable to think that we'll know about the future of the game by end of November. Whatever that is, be it blister, app, or both, it's also reasonable to think we'll have it by end of by the end of March 2018. If it's just a blister pack, then end of December release is possible, but I think sometime in January is more likely.

What happened when the Descent app was released?

Was that tied in with a box release, or blisters?

We could probably expect something similar to happen when the IA app is released, no?

You joke, but it would be a great opportunity to fix Boba Fett. And I don't know anyone that wouldn't want Harvey Korman in the game (by which I mean, no one has denied they want him... not that anyone has been asked).

As a former Legend of the Five Rings player, I'll point out that it tends to be abbreviated to L5R. (at least it did back in my day...)
