Anyway, gurus of the internet- do we expect it to change this week? As in, probably today or tomorrow? You should all know by now how much I love to set myself up for disappointment.

FFG's estimate is 4-6 weeks on the boat. Today is 9 weeks. I've been expecting it every day since we hit 5 weeks, lol. After getting the last preview article last week, I can't imagine it taking longer than this week to update to 'Shipping Now'. I've been wrong before though.

Maybe this is a Cast Away situation, and some Fed Ex employee will personally deliver our HotE boxes like ten years from now after he manages to sail away from the desert island he was stranded on.

I can only imagine that he befriends Drokatta much in the same way Tom Hanks had Wilson.

Someone just told me there have been dock issues again (more labor disputes). Could be related.

So on that note... it just occurred to me. They did say they were making tweaks, but that started its lifecycle (with FFG) as a completed product. I realize it's only been on the list as in dev for seven days but how much tweaking could the be doing? Presumably they started working on it well before the 21st, right?

It's been in Dev since GenCon. It's been on the bottom of the pile for the last seven days

In one of the FB groups there's been a lot of talk of a lot of distributors claiming the release is October 12. I'd take that with an extreme grain of salt, but if that is true, I'd expect the switch to shipping no later than today.

Some on here have previously conspiracy theorized the 12th. If it is the 12th, we should see it update by next Tuesday at the latest to hit the minimum end of the 7-10 days in Shipping Now. This assumes that those timing windows aren't complete bantha poodoo.

My reasons were that it got on the boat the same time as the legends of the 5 rings/runewars stuff that's being released on 10/5. I was assuming they already have it and just want to stagger the releases.

The 12th of Oct ... did the conspirators settle on the year yet?

I've heard some voices about october 12th from Italy. Our polish retalier has announced hote today with graphics of translated cards. looks legit

Yeah, I've heard a lot about vendors outside of the US settling on that date, too.

Speaking of conspiracies, I wonder if these delays were to allow for an International release date, since we often get complaints from gamers outside of the US about how long it takes for them to get their product after it comes out in the states.

Anyway, nothing has been updated on the Upcoming page since the 25th, which seems a little odd.

There's not a consensus yet, but I wouldn't count on it if it's past 2012. That's when the world is ending.

It could just be a weird period in the release cycle, too. Thursday is typically a release day, but nothing came out (other than the Descent App- which, by the way, seems really cool! Glad Descent is still getting support, bodes well for IA's future too.)
