It estimates 4-6 weeks on the boat, and it has now been on the boat for 7 weeks and 2 days.

It's been been 14-16 days for the last 4 IA waves according to the "History of past releases" thread.

Then, if you're getting it from FLGS, you're golden.

If you're like me and don't have an FLGS within 100 miles, you'll have to wait between 3-x business days, probably. Longest wait I had after In Stores is about 12 days of sheer frustration.

Dude. That would be torture! I try to slip into the FLGS the night before to sweet talk them into letting me have it early. 70% of the time, it works every time! Either way, I'm pumped. This wave will make the game even better.

Because I live in South Africa I usually have to wait a few weeks after it's released for it to be available here. So currently I'm expecting it in November earliest.

With the recent Eldritch Horror Cities in Ruins expansion we had shopping delays and it was almost a month late!

Proving once again that what people say is not actually that great a predictor of their behavior.

Don't get me wrong. It's one of the better ones out there. But it's still not that great.

So are we all pretty much of the same mind that we'll likely *not* get any more news articles on HOTE until it actually hits the docks and switches to "Shipping Now" or am I just being pessimistic for no reason?

We could always get a next wave announcement... wouldn't that be grand???

Stop it with that optimism. :P But yeah, that would make my day, whenever it happens. Seriously, the droids and HotE waves were announced each on days where I wasn't feeling well, and both really helped brighten my day. Looking forward to that feeling again, however cheesey it sounds.

While I highly doubt we would get another set focused on Force-users so close to HOTE, it would be neat to have a reinforcement wave like the following:

Empire: Seventh Sister & First Brother

Scum: Zuckuss & 4-LOM (FINALLY!!)

Rebel: Ezra Bridger & Kanan Jerrus

However, that may be too "Rebels-heavy" for a release since some are not into it.

Yeah, that would be awesome, but I'm afraid it would be too force user heavy and Rebels heavy.

I really liked the "droids" release wave- something iconic from the original trilogy (Jawa), something from the new canon TV (Hera and Chopper), and something a bit more obscure (Vader's droids).

I think it was a great mix of ideas. The overarching theme (droids) really helped tie the whole thing together, too.

I'd love to have an "aliens and creatures" wave next. Maybe something like:

Zeb and Sabine

Thrawn

That's doable. If it was strictly an "Aliens" wave, they could easily hit all of the buttons by:

Zuckuss/4-LOM (OT)

Zeb/Sabine (new canon TV)

Thrawn (Other/Obscure - while he did appear in Rebels, most long time fans know him from the older EU)

My problem is that I preorder the game online a month or so before it releases. At the time, I usually think "that's a long time from now, I'll save money and go for the economy shipping, it's only a few more days"....then they announce the release and you guys all start opening stuff up like it's christmas and I have to wait 3-5 more days.<_< You'd think I'd learn my lesson.

Just curious, and maybe this is a bit off topic (though this thread is pretty much the "Off Topic" thread anyway):

What Thrawn would we want? Classic, white uniform Thrawn?

Or helmeted Season 3 finale Thrawn?

Because while I prefer the classic look, the helmeted one would fit much better with this game.

I don't think I need Thrawn. He's slightly more useful than Tarkin in IA. I like them both in other media I just don't know their utility in IA. Then again, they made Jabba work.

How about a vehicle for the IMPs instead? I wouldn't mind the Rogue One "Occupier" tank with a mounted E-web on the back:)

Plus, we haven't gotten a vehicle expansion (blister) since Weiss.

Edit: Unfortunately, Legion will probably get this long before us.

Wish list:

Tarkin or Thrawn (please no helmet)

Zuckuss & 4-Lom

Zeb & Sabine

But I hardly doubt Zuckuss & 4-Lom will be in a wave without a box. There seems to be a trend for those ESB bounty hunters to be on the cover of a box and then be in a blister that comes in the same wave.

That's really only happened with the smallboxes so far, right?

Dengar/IG-88 aren't on the front cover of Hoth/Core, but can't remember if they might have been on some artwork on the side of the box

Still they came out with a box.

Yeah, but Boba Fett is Boba Fett. He's easily the most well known of the ESB hunters.

Bossk... has a "line(?)" in ESB and appeared in several episodes of Clone Wars. The remaining four are almost meer window dressing and likely not recognizable enough to be cover stars, IMHO.

Still, I see the logic in them being associated with a boxed expansion.

I always had a soft spot for IG-88. Kevin Anderson gave him a great backstory in the Tales of the Bounty Hunters book.

OK, it's getting close to the time where I'd expect another Friday article. I really doubt that vanilla-Genesis is going to carry the weekend. Given that so many other games have gotten news and releases lately, I give IA a good chance (better than an X-man on a white die) for an article this afternoon. Unless they steal it for the first expansion of Legion...wah wah.

I know that the Friday afternoon articles are often pretty late in the day, but man...

The fact that nothing has changed on "Upcoming" makes me think we're not getting anything IA today, unless its some tourney regulation thing or a new wave announcement. The latter I'd be more than okay with, though.

Surely the locations and characters of Rogue One are on the cards. Maybe working for Saw (and therefore more focussed of destroying things with less morals).

Or something I suggested a while back, the roles swap and you have and Imperial strike team instead along the lines of Inferno Squad.

They might start looking at the timeline after ROTJ as well and discovering the First Order, but before TFA, but pleasw no prequel stuff.

Please no more Force users or force sensitives for a while.

There's still plenty of material left for campaigns (I don't play skirmish).
