10 is similar to the HKs which are 8 for regs and 10 for eHKs

Close, 8 and 11. A four point jump from regs to elites is pretty uncommon. Royal Guards have make that big of a leap, and after the errata the changes from Reg to Elite are pretty significant.

Good point. So it's very likely that rSentry droids will cost 7. That's not unreasonable for campaign. I play rTrandos pretty often for 7 (at least in mid to late campaign).

Reg sentry droids have already been shown to be 6.

Cool even better. So will that 4 threat be worth it for elites? I doubt it.

It's going to be interesting to see if it will. That's a lot of ground to cover for cost. E Jets are arguably one of the best more than two cost difference between the regular and elite version (costing 4 vs 7). Though the elite royal guards could be just on the edge of being worth it depending how things shape up any given expansion/new cards (costing 8 vs 12). Elite HK's and Elite Wookiees pretty much aren't worth the upgrade cost (8 vs 11). Not going to compare them to three unit squads upgrade costs.

Now, I haven't seen them being compared to Trandoshans yet who were 7 for 2 (arguably overcosted) but six health each and two dice attack. With their elite version being 10 for 2 and still being arguably overcosted (but understandably with what the designers were working with at the time). So it'll be interesting to see if they get that price slot a lot better this time than Trandoshans. I would love to see Trandoshans at a really playable price or at least efficiency - maybe the sentry droids will be that - though in Empire and filling a different role most likely.

I'm hoping that it will have an additional ability that will make that Guardian trait applicable. That could really warrant the added cost.

yep. For 4 threat, you could just bring in some Hired Guns instead of going elites. I suppose if you were open group limited and threat rich that would be a different case but I rarely bring elites as open groups in campaign. I do like when they are given as initial/reserved. But I think A1bert said it well, regulars are for campaign and elites are for skirmish.

OK, it's Inflight-report's Eve. I really hope there's something under the Wroshyr tree when I wake up tomorrow.

Today is the Day

Endor box?

I wait for eEwok Hunter with special ability Feast: after you defeat figure with trooper trait recover 4 ;););)

ETA for the news?

The In Flight Report starts 11AM. It is currently 8:38AM in Indiana.

That means it starts 17:00 Central European Time. I've got to go home from work early today. :D

Honestly feels like Christmas morning...

I have a feeling we're just getting the announcement for Legion. Love to be wrong though.

Ugh, I'm still kinda torn on the whole Legion thing.

Thanks, they just went live with the In Flight Report :)

Looks like they're just talking about Catan. Did I miss anything else?

Yeah. My biggest worry is that this is how they split the baby and kill it. If IA is being driven by skirmish right now, then Legion may be their plan to really kick those fans into high gear, and the IA campaign fans may be getting the app as a goodbye kiss.

Haven't touched on any Star Wars content yet.

I tuned in during Catan too, so thank you!

IA app still in development

"The app is real". There's our news for the day :P

Well they mentioned the app. It's still in development and they are play-testing. I don't think we had heard them confirming that before. So that's good. But then they moved on to Legion. I think that's all the news we're going to see today. That's disappointing.
