For once I'm not sure I even care whether we get an update today or not. After all, I'm already excited about a new edition of TI getting announced

Twilight imperium is one of my favourite games of all time, so is arkham horror.

I'm Excited that they stuck a big 20th anniversary logo on the announcement, maybe we'll get a 30th anniversary edition of AH as well.

No kidding. It's easy (well, "easy") to find people for IA because it's Star Wars and relatively easy to learn. Bigger games, like Game of Thrones, are almost impossible to get to the table for me.

But if they don't announce anything today, that means they're probably saving some really good stuff for Gencon, right? So it's a win-win

Yeah. I'm not expecting any more announcements today as TI 4ed is big enough news that they restructured their portal to where it takes you to a full screen ad for it that makes you have to click on to get to the actual website.

Maybe I'm just being optimistic but - I was just thinking that it probably bodes well that they scheduled the FFG In-Flight report for Friday morning at 11 am central given that Fridays are often big news days for IA.

I'm starting to think this week might actually be too busy for any IA stuff.

I mean seriously, it's not like we've gotten the VIP treatment this year so far- what makes us think that IA is going to get prioritized to get an article in the midst of all of these (admittedly exciting) announcements? (oh, and another one of those Five Rings short stories, of course)

The Dice Tower Instagram has a picture of the Heart of the Empire box, miniatures, and a card fan from Gen Con. You can't really see anything new - looks like elite Sentry Droids are 10 and Riot Droids are 7, but this is what everyone expected.

Sentry Droids for 10 is not what I was expecting. But I'd love to see what a 5 point droid can do with all the power creep going on. It has to be way more powerful than a 3.5 point eWeequay or a 4 point eRanger, doesn't it?

Did you see, that both elite and regular Riot Troopers are either Skirmish or Campaign specific?

10 is similar to the HKs which are 8 for regs and 10 for eHKs I think. It is a little costly, but maybe they are as good or better than the HKs.

I think it's cool that Riot troopers are campaign/skirmish specific. In general, I've liked the two card strategy in the past so that they aren't based on a compromise to fit either mode. I just wish they'd offer campaign-specific fix cards (like for Vader). Sure I'm gonna use the fix card anyhow in campaign but I'm just sayin.
