Also no possibility of buying a good card, since it's been sold out for a long time and it's impossible to get any.

Afraid I'm going to be grouchy now...
...Feeling really disappointed with the IA news this week. I'm not sure I learnt anything really from the BT1 preview, which was also a fairly predictable sneak preview.
Really, really hoping there's some new news soon. Just an indication of what's coming over the end 6 months please!
To play devils advocate, we had no idea what kind of character 0-0-0 would be and this article really opened up our eyes. Plus they plugged an all droid list, something we haven't really seen them do before (even show an example list). And they fleshed out a few new command cards as well as gave examples of re using existing ones (which I would rather we had new reasons to use existing cards versus just got a bunch of new ones).
I have to say that FFG delivered on the article and from what I can see so far, this blister pack. But I do agree with you it's been pretty quiet otherwise and this article was long over due.
Nah, the droids article was fine, I just would've liked some small box info by now.
Actually, I just realized that exactly a year ago today I got my core box. That's pretty neat! (The way I remember it was less neat- I got it the day I went to see Batman v Superman, which I remember was the 24th. Kind of a rough film).
Anyway, that also reminds me that before I even ordered my core box last year, you guys had known about The Bespin Gambit's wave for a while. The fact that we know nothing about a summer smallbox seems worse each passing week.
When should wave 10 be in the shops for you to consider it a summer release?
They may be waiting to release info just before (or during) SW celebration. It seems like a good amount of SW stuff will be released the first week in April including Rogue1 DVD/Blue-Ray and the Thrawn novel. That way they can ride the buzz....or get swamped by it.

Celebration was last year as well, and year prior. They were not waiting for celebration then, dont see a reason why they would wait for it this year
Thanks guys - you're right, it was a decent preview earlier this week. I guess I'm just impatient for more news!
I HOPE it's the app, I hop the app is what is holding everything up. They seem to be playing their cards even closer to the chest than normal about new info, FFG is renowned for secrecy but we're starving over here.
The other option is they could have messed something up ala the Bantha Rider wave, they tend to go quiet when that happens to
what happened with the bantha wave ? (for us neophytes)
I'm actually okay with nothing, we had Droids Tuesday, so if we get Hera and Chopper next week and the Jawa the week after that, we should be due actual products in 3 weeks. If they preview something else, then that postpones actual product. They can keep their news to themselves until closer to release date as far as I'm concerned. Slow down and build a skirmish community base rather than release too much too fast and burn out of quality.

It's listed as on the boat. Don't expect it until sometime in May... if you're lucky.

Just mostly the figure was very different than anything before. It was a ton of health for only 9 points. Made some command cards way better. Jundland terror can be crazy when it happens (many didn't realize you couldn't play two on the same turn as well for awhile). A lot of saying it's broken. It took awhile for it to widely be understood that a bantha goes down fast if you play it wrong.
The card that's really the standout from the wave though is beast tamer and some still think it's overpowered for one cost. Maybe, maybe not. All I can say is look at the two point upgrades and how often they get used...
I won a decent amount with the bantha for about four months through regionals last year and then wanted to change things up. Playing with it I was able to see how opponents could tear it to shreds or play around it but most of the people just didn't know yet or play enough with it at the time. At regionals that was different and I realized my HK play wasn't on point and they could shot farther than I thought.
But It's basically the same as every new wave. Oh that's overpowered (looks like it on paper). But the underlying stats/averages of the dice and other mechanics of the game stats are actually balanced better towards the intended power curve. And bantha is where it needs to be.
That's all possible, but I think what Frog was actually referring to was the delay of the Bantha Wave. It was originally dubbed Wave 4, but was delayed so long that it actually came out after Wave 5 (Return to Hoth). I don't know exactly what happened, but I've heard something about strikes at the shipping ports slowing the process down in that case.
Yea Master has some great points in there as well, but I was referring to the delay. However as subtrendy outlined that seems to be a pretty rare occurrence.
Another thought- maybe tomorrow we might have a better answer as to whether or not this thread should be changed to " It's TUESDAY!!!!! Who will we see spoiled today?? " after last week's earlier spoiler. Especially considering Destiny seems to have a lock on the Friday spot right now.

My bad, I totally misread the bantha was question (and probably had a healthy dose of the droid spoiler article thread thoughts going through my mind) when I wrote that
yeah I remember there being a whole shipping fiasco with the shipping strikes around that time. But I also think somewhere in there they decided to slingshot Hoth to come out before the bantha wave in time for Christmas. So while they announced Wookiee wave and then bantha wave and then Hoth, it ended up getting switched. Because Hoth (11/6/15) went on the boat a full month before bantha (12/16/15) and was available just about six weeks later but bantha took 8-9 weeks.
Aaaaa, this refresh button on FFG home page is killing me... They should announce everything for that day in the morning, they would save so many people from going crazy xD
My reaction to the Force & Destiny announcement today:
"If this is a consular sourcebook, WHERE are the Imperial Assault ambassadors?"
expect any news today?? why??
Lately 2 a day seems to be the norm, but not always.. I think given we saw one last week we are due one this week though.
I feel like tomorrow is our lucky day.

Doubtful, it's still going to be on the boat a few weeks. So likely we'll have the next announcement next week, the last announcement 2 weeks after that, and that will bring us to the arrived in store announcement beginning of May. (On the boat is usually around 6 weeks, and another 2 weeks for shipping to stores)

Prepare to be proven wrong!!!!!
Starting to think that if we don't hear something this week we won't be getting a box expansion in Q2...

We will apparently get wave 9 partway in Q2. What suggests to you we could get wave 10 in Q2 too?

It's possible. If we're getting one (and honestly, at this point I wouldn't count on it) I would assume that it's already been at the printers for a while now, and would get on the boat not long after being announced.

Assuming just because most people have expected a smallbox in June.
