We're getting to that point again like we were with wave 3 & 4 and kind of wave 2. This madness will never end for us. Armada is not the behemoth X-wing is, and our priority is very much down the list of games sad to say.
Article Predictions. Mostly General Discussion. But there's definately some Predictions scattered throughout.

Its not just Armada, though. I mean, Go over to X-Wing and mention "Quadjumper".... And you'll see how it is... They don't feel top of the pile, either.

But it terms of waves, every fighter in that wave except the Quadjumper has had an article we had an announcement for wave 5 and CC then a look at squadrons for CC. I believe thats only about a fourth of everything we're getting. They have a good idea of what they're getting as for us we can only speculate on both a release date and the details. It all just sucks. This is why I stick to video games and movies as a hobby lol
if Destiny is the only article we get today, I'm gonna be dissapoint, son.
well this isn't looking good....

I think you'll have to be disappointed

What's the worst case for the future since Asmodee is a board game company first? One release a year? Slow burnout of the fanbase? Eventual phasing out of the games?

It's over guys, ARMADA IS DEAD.
One Solid Wave a Year would satisfy me.
But I'm a broke-arse bastard, who doesn't play "gotta collect 'em alls" in any way, shape or form ![]()
As long as OP keeps things interesting in prizes and varies competitions, too - I'd be good.
I'm more an Organiser than a Player these days, anyway.
Really think Asmodee has the power to phase out Armada? I thought mergers simply combined the companies, not a corporate take over.
Plus, anything Star Wars sells. I'm sure FFG will continue to pump out material and will not let Armada or X-Wing die.

It's too much of a lucrative market IMO to ignore.
Is it? We kinda sorta made up the smallest portion of players at their most recent World Championships.
No. I want more than that, and this game deserves more than a single release a year.

We still sold out in minutes.
We filled the pool they let us play in.

But we sold out right? Sounds like a space issue more than an interest issue.
we all know why this is happening though. FFG is pushing for their new products (Destiny, Arkham Card game, Doom) and spend a lot less time on the established fan bases.
They're trying to create new customers and new markets for their new stuff, which is understandable. Not sure about their strategy of ignoring their hardcore fans though. They know we'll buy everything 2-3 times over already, even if they don't release any articles, because that's how Armada and X-Wing fans are, but still, we deserve a carrot on a stick once in a while..
Edited by SybreedI mean, I know its all lovey-dovey, and all hopeful, and all of that bullcrap...
... But I'm sure this is a temporary deal.
With the OP Changeover for a May Worlds, the 6 Month Timeframe for OP Kit Order and Eligability... The Christmas Rush and Priorty decisions that may or may not have been made...
I'm sure things will be back to Status-Quo of "No news is good news" in the New Year...
Its just, right now... Everything is Crazyass...
I mean, its tough for me to commit to organising events 6 months in Advance, but that's what you have to do with OP now as a Retailer - but I'm gettin' on it best I can... 4 A year is a good thing...
I just (always) wish there was more direct feedback on things...
I mean, my Local Store has ordered the Corellian Conflict Kits as well as the Conflict itself, even a Rough Timeline on that would be nice, but as they were not "Seasonal" in nature, we got nothing on them for timeframes.
I know a ton of gamers, gamers who actually played Doom. Doom from the olden times, when it was the pinnacle of the genre. Gamers that loved Doom, and love board games.
Those gamers could not possibly care less about Doom, the stupid ******* board game.
I still play OG Doom and Doom 2 often. I stream it often with the Brutal Doom mod. It was one of my first loves in PC Gaming and I consider it one of the greatest games of all time. I got to demo the Doom board game at QuakeCon this past summer and I absolutely loved it and can't wait to buy it.
I'm apparently the exact person you've never met but is FFG's target.
...
I still didn't really care about the Doom articles though, but mostly just because I already understand the game since I've played it.

This wait has literally driven me back to GW. I bought some 30k marines to build solely because there wasn't an article all last week. I just want a Phoenix One dammit....

Is that you, Sean Murray?

A joke. Sean Murray is the infamous lead of No Man's Sky. He and his team have remained mysteriously calm silent while the mob raged.
Ya'll need to chill out about not getting your new ships. Just be happy this game is supported.
