Article Predictions. Mostly General Discussion. But there's definately some Predictions scattered throughout.

Is there an R?

Clearly way to bored and need an article

A podcast would also be nice right about now

I do feel there's a lot of variation between Descent / IA / Doom.

I do feel there's a lot of variation between Descent / IA / Doom.

Missions may be different, but the mechanics are nearly identical. IA campaign games tend to take longer due to alternating turns vs all heroes going in one turn and Overlord moving all units in one turn.

See, that;s perspective I guess.

I've never played any of them, but I have watched all 3 played, and from the outside, they certainly seemed like different mechanics being used...But hey, as I said, that's perspective - and one that i do not have.

I find this lack of articles disturbing

So the Arkham Nights Pack for this year hits Website Sale...

Thats News, right?

....

If not, then there's Android Product in Stores...

... and a New IA Skirmish Playmat.

Realistically though, it's now been ~2 weeks that Wave 5/CC have been "on the boat".

That gives us approximately ~4 weeks until they are received at the warehouse, and then 2 more weeks in transit from there.

Let's assume 5 weeks because we think that FFG is doing some sort of enhanced rush job to get them in stores before Christmas, yeah?

5 weeks from now puts it on the Thursday, Dec 22nd release date, last Thursday FFG release date before Christmas.

So. I think that we will be needing 5 articles mayhaps: (I know that there is a traditional release order for waves based on what we saw in 2 and 3/4; i've just put them in no particular order because I'm too lazy / don't care enough to determine it myself)

CC Article #3 (Objectives)

Arquitens

Pelta

Imperial Squadrons

Rebel Squadrons

OR

CC Article #3 (Objectives)

Missing SKU Reveal

Arquitens

Pelta

All Squadrons

Just my morning conjecture.

/sigh

I think we're just way too enthusiastic about Armada, we're at a point where FFG is taking us for granted.

No. Not for Armada.

Yes, for the X-Wing SKU of the same number.

What is an SKU?

By the way I already expressed my opinion that FFG seems to be overstretching and hence they divert resources from Armada

They would make everyone happy if they trickled out one card a day over 4-6 weeks. How hard would that be, and we would be happy, right?

They also may not be stretching it either. They may just be holding onto a glob of two or three articles they plan to release closer to well...the release date. The Pelta and Arquietens are easily one article as are the combination of the two fighter packs. We may get another article or two on the CC. I don't expect to see another article until December.

So did any of you ever hear about the psychology experiments done on animals to demonstrate the behavior of gambling? Because that is what is happening here. Every day we come here and chatter about how we want this article, and we are always disappointed. But when the last one dropped, we were content for a few days before we came back here to wait again.

By varying the time intervals between releases, FFG can control our behavior in regards to their products. It's a conspiracy I tell you.

that's what I'm doing with my cat when I give him treats. Sometimes it's just his regular food, but sometimes it's the actual treats and that makes him so happy.

We're cats, you guys.

Just wanted to help you out quick before the thread gets to far away from your question.

"A stock keeping unit (SKU) is a product and service identification code for a store or product, often portrayed as a machine-readable bar code that helps track the item for inventory. A stock keeping unit (SKU) does not need to be assigned to physical products in inventory."

Such statements give me paws.

I figured it was just the Member Berries.

From what I'm getting (from 4 separate distributors, and 2 sources inside FFG)...

Is, basically:

Asmodee took the whole supply chain, and turned it on its head.

There was a plan for FFG products leading into December. That plan was ignored by Asmodee.

Asmodee is a Board Games Company, Asmodee Management - rightfully, in their own mind - focused on Board Game Product for Christmas.

Only so much could be prioritised given the new priority system.

And its not just Armada... Even X-Wing is Flipping out by the fact that they've only gotten 2 Articles on their Wave 10... Granted, that's 2 more Articles than we've got on Wave 5, but still.... If they are the Favoured Child, they're getting Whipped almost the same us as, and that is telling, isn't it...

Even from beside-the-scenes, and hearing muttered voices, and scuttlebutt at worlds is that not everything was Sunshine and Happiness with the Merger - and Honestly... it was never going to be... Mergers are not nice things, and they are never nice things... Sometimes they're better-than-the-alternative things, but no-one likes a Merger while its happening... And its ongoing...

I mean, that's all I've got on it...

I wish I could say I had a source inside Asmodee to give me further details, but I don't... And as it is, I clarify all of my above statements as scuttlebutt, Rumour, and connected information points...... None of it can be sourced as "Journalistic Proof".

It is presented as a possible set of background information.

Sir, the odds of getting an article today are approximately 3270:1
