Article Predictions. Mostly General Discussion. But there's definately some Predictions scattered throughout.

By Drasnighta, in Star Wars: Armada

Is it possible they are waiting for Rogue One? maybe some of the unique squads or upgrades are from the movie? or maybe an episode of rebels?

I really hope not cause rogue one release around the time we should be seeing wave 5 and CC shipping to retailers. As for rebels I hope that isn't the cause the next 2 episodes don't sound very armadaesk.

Bleh. I spent 20 minutes unshovelling my car from Snow to go and get a Coffee to come home to this....

Weak, Gentlemen.

It's actually a really interesting article

I've never read a book on the series, seen an episode of the series, or picked up a card game of the series.

It is the very quintessential of "irrelevant" to me... Although I do acknowledge it may be an interesting read to some people, for me, its Gobbeldygook...

If taken as a GoT article, sure. But the statistical breakdown based on worlds data could mean we see something similar for Armada which would be pretty interesting, no?

I wouldn't know. I didn't read it, as I ascribed it as to being irrelevant to my interests and moved on...

To be fair, its only GoT that does that... There's something about the levels of fanaticism I see about both GoT (and consquently, the Walking Dead) that... I just can't care about. Can't and Won't...

But then, I'm crazy enough that I've gone back to re-reading Dune now, starting with the Classic 6, before looking at the new stuff.

A Dune game would be interesting to me....it's been 20+ years since I picked up those books though.....

We got 2cm of snow, that's less that an inch for you imperials out there...

Australia has made you soft mate ;)

You might have gotten 2 cm of Snow up there near the Bow, man... But because of that Road enclosure where it is, all the snow that lands on the neighbor's house blows immediately across onto mine...

I had a 15cm Snowdrift onto and over my stairs that I had to shovel into my lawn so it would melt with everything else...

I read the first book of GoT, and decided it wasn't for me. The zeal that others have shown for it has turned it from disinterest to disgust for me. I really wish FFG hadn't picked up that liscense, but I realize it makes them money. I'm still tired of hearing about it constantly.

That goes double for netrunner.

IT'S GONNA HAPPEN TODAY! I CAN FEEL IT!

Why is there such disdain for fandoms when at the same time we're desperately clinging for ANY scraps of news for Star Wars models like rabid dogs? :P :D

I'll tell you what though, there's a segment of the Star Trek community that aggravates me to no end. I grew up on VHS of the Original Series, the Next Generation, and Deep Space Nine that's the Star Trek I know and love most. (Confession time here's what I got, I prefer Trek to Star Wars but I really do love Star Wars a lot hence me spending 600 bucks on this game lol).

However I also love Enterprise and the Kelvin Universe Movies but whenever it's brought up on Facebook or on other forums it feels like people get really nasty about JJ Abrams and the movies in a highly unnecessary and divisive way. I would argue in a way some people get about religion where my view is the only view on the [insert Holy Book of choice] and everyone else is an idiot or not a real fan. I'm fine if you dislike something and have an opinion but don't try and say that by my enjoyment of it my fan status is revoked :D

I really want to reread Dune now.

How can you even believe all of this drivel...idiot.

I feel you man. I'm not big on Enterprise but I also like the new Trek films. I think a lot of the derision that goes their way is because they aren't really hard scifi the way The Original Series and TNG were. But that doesn't make them bad, and I feel like some of the hardline fans don't seem to get that some of the things that work on the small screen simply do not translate to the cinema.

I think what people really have disdain for is for proselytizing.

I realize that certain franchises aren't for me, and I hold no I'll will towards fans of GoT or Dr. Who, or even Twilight. I just don't want to hear about those things. Nerds tend to be obsessive. We LOVE what we love and HATE what we don't. All is well and good when you don't have to hear about the stuff you hate, but when you do....so much friction.

For sure today!

It was 70 degrees here yesterday. Though, it has been a strange fall. (Usually it is quite chilly by now).

Might have to specify you mean Fahrenheit for those northern barbarians and the rest of the citizens of the world who are accustomed to Celsius.

Northern Barbarians?

Sir, we believe in the Metric System, here...

.... As does the rest of the Civilised World...

No. No I say! Not till they pry the 25 foot tape measure from my cold dead hands. Let the rest of the readers think the world is burning, literally!

Mwa ha ha!

Um...

We need an article soon, as it appears I am getting a bit confrontational.

Northern Barbarians?

Uh, actually no. Countries who use the Metric System still use English units a good portion of the time. Especially in cooking and other fields.

The metric system isn't actually better - it just introduces other complexities (and simplifies other things)

Roads are still laid out in miles in most parts of the world - even the ones that use the metric system.

Besides, who am I to argue with the market, which has determined the English system is superior.

Over 50% of the world's economy runs in English/customary units. So saying "the rest of the civilized world" is a bit silly

Reese's come with three cups per pack in canada. I attribute this to the metric system. Metric is better.
