Article Predictions. Mostly General Discussion. But there's definately some Predictions scattered throughout.

By Drasnighta, in Star Wars: Armada

Endor was a trap, why would they move the death star? It was meant to be the lure. No Death Star, no trap. No trap and the war continues. The Emperor never listened to Han Solo's advice and got cocky. He should have waited until the station was more complete.

Of course thinking about it that's the entire point of the opening scene. The Death Star II was behind schedule when Vader arrives so it's not as much the emperor being cocky but not being informed as to the actual status of the station. At that point the rebels would already have gotten the plans and making preparations for the attack. So if ANYONE is at real fault it's Grand Moff JerJerod or whatever the guy in charge of the DSII's name is.

This is another reason going squadron light is kind of risky.

I heart Dorkly

Probably.

I found out the other day, according to some metrics, it is:

1,759,888th most common surname in the world

Approximately 48 people bear this surname

Yahogava.

Other Hints given so far:

9 Letters Long

No Vowels.

I just noticed browsing amazon that the recommended age for Armada models is 13 to 15. Well the dream that was Star Wars Armada is over, soon to be swept by Call of Duty fanboys and kids that grew up in a universe where Greedo shot first.

Most of my Armada Models would have aged 13 to 15 weeks in the package from being created, by the time I crack them open....

A Few weeks on the Docks, 6-8 weeks to come over, 2-3 weeks in Shipping to the Sentry Box, a Week or two there... Yeah. 13 to 15 sounds fine to me.

Yrchyshyn?

No, but it kinda sounds like that if you've got a cold.

I imagine the Y-Wing Ace and the Tie Advanced CC cards are going to be announced after those characters appear on Rebels. There is no other reason to not have had them in the last article unless they wanted to stretch material. I'm not annoyed at all, I genuinely think that they are protecting spoilers in this case.

Saber Squadron and Janus are prime examples of this.

ahah, 13 to 15 kids with very rich parents buying them hundreds of $$$ miniatures games? :P

From what I've seen in tournaments, Armada is roughly for people between the age of 18-50 with some disposable income.

My 6 years old nephew really likes the armada miniatures, but unfortunately his father can't afford the time to get into Armada.

Y-wings kinda make sense, but the TIE Advanced? I doubt it. I don't think they hold out on that sorta thing that easily.

Quite often, articles don't 100% Spoil everything, wether its a Face-Down Card or something else... So its just entirely possible.

The Articles we have reiterate that there are 16 squadrons in the box, to cover everything in the first two Fighter packs - That will be 8 Rebel and 8 Imperial.

If they interact in an interesting way with the objectives we may see them in a following article on Objectives, but we may also just have to put up with the fact that we may not see them until release...

That entirely depends on Fernia's assumption of her father's throne, and wether you consider your loyalty to Mephistopheles absolute or not...

A squadron that can destroy a non-Station obstacle?

While an interesting notion, if I understand you correctly, I don't that should ever be an ability. Despite being the opposite of reality, asteroid fields and other such debris pose significant trouble in the SW universe.

Remember a star destroyer's bridge was destroyed in ESB by an asteroid. If a destroyer can't manage to deal with them I highly doubt snub fighters can.

Urhg, man, I am far too sick for all of this stuff right now.

So,

does anyone want to put bets on them releasing nothing but articles on:

1) Arkham Horror
2) Doom
3) Mansions of Madness
4) anything else Cthulhu related

Today, due to Halloween?

they must be prepping their site for it, I'm getting 404 not found messages.

Oh, drat. Completely forgot about the holiday.

Yeah, sounds like something they would do.

Same here. Was trying to make sure we didn't get anything on May the Fourth (I don't think we did) before I made a snarky comment about them getting Halloween... but I can't verify it because that page is 404'd right now. :}

My Forced Refresh still brings up Fish-Faces Smug-arse Visage...

Yeah, sounds like something they would do.

I thought they would be announcing their Martin Luther's Theses board game since it's Reformation Day.

I can't comment on that, as I don't know what it is.

I mean, I do...

But that's because I've gone out of the way to educate myself to that end.

Its not something familiar in consideration. Only to, what is, a small sub-group of people as a Comparison to the others.

For the most part.

We won't talk about how many Churches I've been forbidden from entering...
