Article Predictions. Mostly General Discussion. But there's definately some Predictions scattered throughout.

It makes me sad inside that the two main commission painters on here are both in the land of maple and hockey.

So on a scale of 1 to are you drunk, what do you think our chances are for an article tomorrow?

Better odds for tomorrow than for today...

No chance at all is still no chance at all, today or tomorrow matters not.

I'm thinking you're tipsy at least. I'm looking at Wednesday or Thursday.

At the moment, I have 2 Conflicts on pre-order.

But not a single Wave 5.

I won't be able to order anything of Wave 5 until I get some more Commissions...

But at least there;s Squadron packs. I do forsee having a lot of Ghost to paint, and cloaking Phantoms....

Why get 2 CCs?

*edit 50 pages woot. Will have to resurrect this when Wave 6 announced.

I'm actually thinking of getting two also, to run two concurrent campaigns, cuz stickers. Gonna start with one though.

I had 3 on order, but dropped back.

Essentially:

I am the Organiser of our League.

This gives me one for myself, and all of the objectives and such.

Our league can fluctuate up to 12 people, and rather than take someone's box off them, or even steal their components, I get two, to supply the League.

If no-one wants to chip in, that's cool... I'll get some Fighter Boxes and I'll paint some super-awesome Correllian Conflict Squadrons and auction them off.

I

No movement on anything on the Upcoming page as of yet...

But like I said earlier - Destiny is now on the Boat, so expect more for that, since its release is now Before Christmas.

I actually dreamt of an Arquitens article last night. For my sanity I hope there's something today

Nothing could make me happier than an article on corellian conflict. Squadrons, objectives or the campaign mechanics are all equally intriguing topics in my eyes.

You know what would be intriguing to me?

A FAQ.

Imperial Assault article... So if you were holding out hope that they were just sleeping in, that's not the case anymore

What irritates me greatly isnt that we haven't gotten an article discussing the upcoming expansions in detail, it's that FFG seems to be completely ignoring Armada entirely. All someone there has to do is write a short article, just a paragraph, stating that there have been delays on the upcoming waves or something just as generic about a forthcoming Armada article in a few weeks. I just want something that lets us know that they know we still exist.

1) Developmental Delays, if they exist, especially at this time of year, would be Business-in-Confidence information. Never admit to your competitors that you are behind at Christmas.

2) I'm really unsure how many people are working behind-the-scenes on Armada now. I mean, three of the Imperial Assault Articles were Outsourced, its entirely possible we have outsourced Armada Articles that we havn't seen yet, that the writer can't talk about until they are, as they are also Business-in-Confidence.

3) We did get a competition fairly recently where they gave away a whole Wave and more... We can't forget that with our short-sightedness... They havn't done that with X-Wing for a good long while, and never for IA.

4) It'll happen. Eventually. As it is, I've basically told myself that I can't have Coffee until an Armada Article arrives, so you better believe I'm looking forward to it.

Dras with the group reality check

In the meantime, I just got my copy of Rebellion.

I am Jealous.

Although I am not painting another set for the price I'm painting this first one for.

Halloween discounts? Awesome!

Rebellion is an amazing board game.

I just picked up a copy of Blood Rage and my group have been enjoying that.

Star Trek Ascendancy soon.

(See FFG, my dollars are going elsewhere... give me news and I'll give you sales!)

I don't often ***** and complain about models, because I'm one of those people who firmly believes in cleaning, trimming and properly preparing everything, Plastic, Resin, Metal, etc... I've been doing scale modelling since I was 6, so I have the techniques...

...

But the Stormtroopers. GODDESS ABOVE AND BELOW... The STORMTROOPERS.

Zero care was given to the long term viability of the mold or the models themselves, when they were clam-packed into the stainless steel... The main up-down mold line runs across the left side of their face. Most of the other lines are fairly well concealed on model joins and such, but that upper-face, across the helmet, down the eye socket..... HORROR.

Sounds like something well worth paying someone else to deal with :)

While I have tricked out many aspects of my Rebellion set, the minis have not been painted, and I'm not sure they will be with the amount of time needed to do the job. Add it to my retirement bucket list? Great game BTW. Love it!

Yep. I'd totally agree.

This Rebellion Commission is about $300 (CAD). It was based, essentially, on the price I paint Armada Squadrons at, as I figured the TIE Fighters, Ys and Xs, although larger, were not signficantly so, and thus, would take about the same amount of time - I was correct on that part of the assessment.

But that also based the Stormtroopers at the same price (3 for $5), and there's 30 of them.

That does little to assuade the sheer time that went into preparing, them, let alone painting them... BUT, they're almost done. 14 to go, then I go and touch-up the Off-White on the lot, and then go back and look at what else througout the whole commiss needs work.

TL; DR: Would paint Rebellion Again. Would Charge More next time.

There's the Destiny articles I was expecting.
