I think we will get an article this week. It's been so long since we've had new Armada product I am about to buy into Legion. Already started 3d-printing terrain for it.
Article Predictions. Mostly General Discussion. But there's definately some Predictions scattered throughout.
Ive introduced the idea of Armada here. The, "You dont have to paint the mini's if you dont want to..." really kicked the idea to a few people.
Well? Will we get an article for Star Wars Day?

Being that it’s a Saturday, the default is “unlikely, but not impossible” for ANYONE to get one
Sadly I fear a summer news drought for Armada...but that’s preferable to another SSD delay.

I suspect the same but I'm kinda ok with it. We have a pretty long list of future releases at this point (for armada at least).
New campaign
SSD
2 "sizable" ships (which I take as medium)
Clone Wars releases
With that on the horizon I'm pretty open to no new info for a bit, though I'd admit I only glance at the forums a handful of times a week now, posting maybe once.
Does anyone have a spreadsheet of the unique upgrade effects?
Just one problem with that anti-SSD list in the new article: I’m pretty sure you aren’t allowed to use x-wing upgrades in Armada...oops.
🤨

If you click slicer tools it’s the x-wing one, it mentions actions.
Paint? Bit late there aren’t you FFG? And I’m not sure exactly what you think you are bringing to the table that others don’t already have a long history of providing?

Actually, I dont mind this. It looks like Vallejo paints, which is what I prefer these days. And, now I can simply point newer players at a box and go, "those... you need those paints." Rather than try to help them find the perfect color for imperial uniforms.
Because thats a pain...
And also the ww2 paints are all still oil based for the most part.

Eh...Ling once again pisses all over my hot-take with reasonable counterpoints based on practical experience. **** that guy...
...seriously though, fair point.

I don't think they're Vallejo. Vallejo are *very* stringent with their Brand and Marketing, given their agreements with things like Infinity.
In fact, with some of the references, I'm more likely to believe they're Army Painter.
In which case, I, as a technically professional painter (it counts!
) are going to be initially skeptical until I can see what the quality control is like.

I too will be skeptical. I have hit and miss experiences with Army Painter as well.

Sorry. Just, as a guy who has experience helping first my brothers, then newer players to games get used to painting miniatures get paint on their mans, making something stupidly simple helps. And while I dont mind painting with the older style, oil paints, some newer players get awry of it.
But either way. I am glad I can easily get my hands on imperial uniform colors... just need more imperial officer models.
My bet is army painter considering they did them with Runewars.
I’m trying to decide which deflates me more - Star Wars articles that turn out to be Destiny or Star Wars articles that turn out to be the Roleplaying Game.
It’s a tough call.

Destiny. RPG can be used in conjunction with Armada. Example: we are using a homebrew Middle Earth: Battle Companies as well as RPG to build characters and stuff for Armada quasi-narrative play...
Destiny is just, a dice/card game I dont know how works and never actually see anyone play...
Has anyone here tried the Reaper paint sets? They make beautiful miniatures, but I have never actually tried their paints.

Reaper are my preferred paint brand, all things considered. Their colours are a nice opacity without being too extreme either way, they’re dropper bottled, and buying them in triads is super convenient to colour flow.
But they often end up expensive in comparison to others, Nd side you are tempted to buy in triads rather than individuals.
I have a small collection of Reaper MSPs and they form the basis of my Skintones, as well as beautiful purples and blues - their collection of off tint whites (leather, linen, Ghost) were easily the best purchases I made in paint.
Since Legion is doing the Ghost crew now, I think having the shuttle from the ghost would be a great new Rebel Vehicle.
I’m not sure of scale, but I seem to remember the ghost shuttle was significantly smaller than the Lambda or the U-Wing. Could be completely wrong.
At the very least a drop-off mechanic to deploy troopers straight into the thick of it, if they don’t have one already.
Edited by Kani KantaiAn interesting topic for Legion to discuss.
I'm pretty much dieing for more Information on Rebellion in the Rim. Being Optimistic I think we will get more info on this before the month is out. But I think we will hear something for sure no later then June. I'm way more pumped for 200 point campaign then I thought I would be, wondering if it could be run in a single day?
