depends the ship but that's a good start. imo 5 of the small(6 for hammers) 3 for medium and 2 for large should get you by in almost any situation where people aren't both fielding the same side and even if they do there are "generally" few lists that really spam the same ships.
Side note: I've noticed "a lot" of ALL CAPS topics being created in the Armada forum lately.
I feel like I'm being shouted at every time I browse through this forum. But dang if it doesn't get my attention.
