You really don't even have to do with 'Infamous Droids', either - although there are a few "named" ones and it's easy enough to just put any letter+number combination together and call it famous (*cough* THX-1138) - the Separatists were more than just the droids. Watching the Clone Wars CGI series...*PLENTY* of Separatist generals and commanders of various alien species along the way.

Although, yeah, on the Republic side...holy crap, all the Jedi, OMG....SOOOO many aces, it's stupid....

Count Dooku, Asajj Ventriss, Cad Bane, Jango Fett, Bossk, Dengar, General Grievous and several more. Even without going full-on dark side there are several named antagonists throughout the Clone Wars that serve as starship pilots and fly primarily either for the CIS or against the Republic. There's also nothing preventing certain droid squadrons from being "upgraded" experimental units, the existence of elite droid units capable of threatening even Jedi is periodically a major plot point during the TV show.

Well as not every jedi was a confident pilot.... plus you can have padawans as your generics!

Completely ok as long as the current Empire faction received the order 66 upgrade card.

The last thing Armada needs is more Aces. I don't see any point to taking non-Aces anymore. Aces are 5x more resilient.

Actually double brace aces are, as much just 2x.

Taking 1 hit attacks stands the same.

Taking 2 hits attacks

- 4 hull: 4 attacks vs 2

- 5-6 hull: 5 attacks vs 3

- 7 hull: 6 attacks vs 4

Taking 3 hits attacks

- 4 hull: 2 attacks vs 2

- 5-6 hull: 3 attacks vs 2

- 7 hull : 4 attacks vs 3

Even if you manage to save tokens for a following rounds of fire (let's say your opponent cannot focus enough attacks during the same round) the difference won't go beyond the double.

Scatter aces are harder to calculate as if you don't roll accuracies and don't make more than one attack per round they will be inmortal. If you manage to focus fire during the same round they are not far more durable than a double brace.

1 hit attacks

- 3 hull: 5 attacks vs 3

- 4 hull: 6 attacks vs 4

2 hit attacks

- 3 hull: 5 attacks vs 2

- 4 hull: 5 attacks vs 2

3 hits attacks

- 3 hull: 4 attacks vs 1

- 4 hull: 4 attacks vs 2

Considering they will take at least to attack per round and will save the scatter for following rounds, scatter aces can stand a lot, like 7 attacks vs 3/2 for a general tie fighter.

Aces are definitely toughter but I didn't see any that took 10 shots to be killed. Not even Ciena. Of course a 5 hull regular squadron can be one-shotted, even a 6 hull one but an ace won't stand 5 shots under fire of the same power. They are protected from an eventual lucky roll though.

Add accuracies and the ace's resiliency will fall.

I'd say we are expecting something as much as we were during the special announcement that ended up being X-Wing 2.0. If IA and Legion are anything to go by I wouldn't expect us getting anything new announced until some time in October.

I have literally no expectations. I want armada to exist while buying into Kill team and starting a local campaign of it.

I didn't leave armada, FFG took it away from me.
