I'm just letting them borrow stuff from me. Just the other night, I got two people interested in the game, one of whom can't afford it, and the other one only has a core set. for now, we are just playing opposite factions and borrowing stuff. It works for now.

Either FFG printed a minimal quantity of those not thinking they would sell very fast or they just can't print them fast enough (or both). Those 2 expansions inparticular sell like crazy.

Anyway I think you can find plenty of stuff for a new player to get started with. If your FLGS doesn't have much/any Armada ask if they can order it for you. Most will as they can just add it to an order they already have coming in anyway.

Okay, let me rephrase it: most of the expansions are out of stock at reasonably priced shops. Obviously you can find anything, but its gonna cost you a lot more. Also, my fleet was designed to be able to support up to 3 person at tourneys, so I'm always open to borrow to new people as well:)

In general, I think this may be a what causes what problem. If I can get enough people interesting in Armada at my FLGS, they may be more likely to order extra stuff and thus make it easier to get it in stores. And remember, Amazon is a thing, and they do have a lot of Armada. Ultimately, it isn't FFG's problem, its that X-wing is so much more profitable and thus more likely to get shelf space.

The stores in general around me have stopped stocking Armada. There's only one in STL that still carries it and even then it's only a handful of items. They do sometimes order 1 or 2 of a new item when it's released but those just seem to sit on the shelf for months before disappearing so /shrug.

In my armada 'depression' I just booked 4 tourneys yesterday, and Im toying with the idea to visit german nationals as well, they were so friendly at euros. They have proper beer, I assume theyll be even more friendly there

no tickets, anymore.

They originally had 32 spots, some (cough cough) wanted to register only about 3 days after it got online...well, sold out. We petitioned them to increase space, and they did to 50, I think. To my knowledge, gone very quickly (but no guarantees).

In any case a good sign re popularity AND responsiveness to community. Shoutout to Asmodee Germany, appreciated!

Armada doesn't need better card design so desperately.

Are the other forums this slow? Feels like hardly any "real" conversation Armada is going on lately. Given, there's only so much we can talk about the different combos and/or whine about our "woah is me" lot in life but it just seems slower in general. For example: this topic went over a day w/out anyone posting in it(given america day and all but I didn't think our holiday would slow down you Canadians or EU'ians).

Sadly the group I played with in the area has pretty much evaporated. Last games I got in was at the store championship in KC on the 22nd.

Well I did my bit...I ran Corellian Campaign for my bachelor party and there are now 2 new Armada players in the world building up their own fleets. We’re trying to organise regular games in the local hall to introduce more friends to it.

What I'm taking from this is that what Armada needs most to attract new players is alcohol and lap dances. You may be on to something.
