I guess it is not but I could be wrong. It doesn't seem weird to me. Actually I like the idea of the European moving around Europe. It is risky though if that means less attendance. I just wanted to know if what I heard was true. My problem with European isn't the country rather than me being able to go.

Polish fb armada group has 577 members. Is that a lot? I don't know. But there was 7 of us at euro. That's almost 10% of 72 players. Probably most after British players (but I can't be sure).

I can assure you that prices for everything, from flights to food and accommodation are lower in Poland than in UK. So I'm sure if 7 of us could go to win the thing to UK, some folks should be able visit us in Poland.

Largest Armada community is definitely the UK.

Largest Xwing though..... Poland definitely has enough gamers across the full range of FFG games that make this not particularly suprising.

As much as I would prefer to play in the uk it makes sense for Euros to travel. Wouldnt want it to be known as the Minnesota Regionals now would we?

I’m really glad for Europeans to see it move, to enable and encourage them.

... but it’s a death knell for me competing next year.

For one, for many Europeans England is just too far. But Germany or Poland would indeed be a great place for an EC. Because, you know, it's the center of Europe.... I would rather take a few hours ride by car (or coach, heck even train!) to get there! In the UK you need a flight for the main airports, then take a coach or get a car only to get there with their weird way of traffic (left-hand driving is crazy).

(disclaimer, I'm not Polish, nor polish-speaking, just went there sometimes)

Plus Poles are super-friendly to tourists (except perhaps if you are Russian, or German, bad reflexes are hard to overcome?) food is good, lodging too, prices are ok (seriously UK is horribly overpriced)

just do not get into drinking contest with the locals.....?

its time for Europeans to come to the mainland, and as much as the British players would like to have it in the UK, I have yet to meet one who doesnt agree that its only fair to share.

i hope to see all UK players again, but I wont miss the feeling when you travel there, supposedly being a (yet) co–EUist. it would not improve....

then there are the prizes....however, I would not get too cocky as Polish, they will do their best to charge as much as they can. because its, unfortunately, normal to try to profit when there is no choice. lets see how much cheaper it will be (will it be Warsaw?)

I was super excited about it... until I called my FLGS and they didn't know the exact dates for their own store championship.
