they have the SSD already to go.... they just cant find a decent rebel opposition ship.... and cant find enough different rebel ships to make a fleet box instead!

?

The Viscount would be a perfect choice for that :3

Well, if people can spend $150 on 3 conversion kits for X-Wing Miniatures 2nd Edition, we can have a Super Star Destroyer and some other huge ships. They would be the Epic ships for Star Wars Armada :P

At this point I'd sooner assume the "epic" ships for armada will be FFG converting our ships for use in X-wing.

I wonder if the 2nd Edition will have any

Legion gets a new product announcement today https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2018/5/11/rogue-operative/

At this point it's just depressing.

Why? We know that Legion is getting releases frequently, so the frequency of the articles should be expected. The same for X-Wing, given its reboot.

I am starting to wonder if FFG is looking at IP consolidation and looking to start phasing stuff out. Probably not, but with so many games they have to develop for considering the two new very large games (legion, XW2E) I am starting to think they dont have the work force to cover everything.

Because I couldn't give a **** about Legion or X-Wing. Honestly. I saw the OT. Every ground engagement they were involved in ended with heaps of dead rebels. The only exception being RotJ where plot armor came in the form of fuzzy adorable stick throwing natives.

It's depressing to see the only TTG I really care about get a single release every year. It's BS.

So Boba is not an operative, he is taking part in regular „mass“ infantry battles.

Full IA Legion goes ?

This will be great reading in the Legion forum. Those spoiled brats are already whining for a 3rd factions and more stuff. Now they get a Scum unit as Imperial.

Asmode is up for sale for $1.7 billion USD... Anybody who wants to support Armada willing to buy? What's $1.7B, just a few ISDs...

From what I've been led to believe, FFG has a small design staff and they are producing a large number of games. I'm honestly surprised they have put out as many Star Wars licensed games as they have. In their shoes, I could see cutting the games they put out in half across the board.

34 million ISDs.

Boba as an imperial? Hmm. Could they think of no one else?

He's an Imperial in pretty much every other Star Wars game though... just saying.

Always wanted to make a 4 billions points list...

"Look for the Scout Troopers Unit Expansion (SWL19) to release alongside the Boba Fett Operative Expansion (SWL18) in the third quarter of 2018! You can pre-order your copy at your local retailer or online through our webstore today."

It's crazy to me that in their first quarter they've nearly caught up to armada's full release lineup to date.

The lack of Armada products could be driven in part by the typical slash-and-burn mentality of these faceless corporations. If they were trying to maximize profits and ultimately dump asmodee for a quick profit, eliminating headcount or just not expanding may account for the lack of Armada product.

And the focus on the new games and revision of their hit.

So at this point is it really safe to say "Armada as a game published by FFG, is dead"

I can see Mel racking in the profits if Armada is killed off at this point.

I think it's still pretty far from dead. IA had a terribly bad year last year for announced/released products but it's now back into the queue. I think we're just in the lull of FFG having two huge products they obviously were doing for most of last year (Legion/XWing 2.0)

And Runewars.

Maybe it's a free space that keeps popping up each time someone says "armada is dead". Imo Geek's entire sheet is probably just made up of "armada is dead" free spots.

Hold on folks, I never said Armada itself is dead, but armada as a game PUBLISHED by FFG being dead, armada can easily continue as a game made by players for players and **** the corperate tools who refuse to acknowledge the community forums crys for attention

I find liberal use of the 'ignore user' function makes forum browsing a much more positive experience.
