You know I have a feeling they look at these numbers to justify the lack of communication and releases for Armada. If you look we are barely above the LCG in games played and attendance and that game is on its way out. Never mind the fact that we get limited by ticket purchases and a lottery system.
Article Predictions. Mostly General Discussion. But there's definately some Predictions scattered throughout.

I mean, they have... sales data. Why would they base releases on Worlds attendance?

Agreed...but as infographics go, it isn't a good look when you compare with the other two games. Especially if you don't have the knowledge of Armada itself. We will never have as many players as X-Wing or destiny, because of the space we take up. Also, the Lottery system is keeping many, many players who want to attend from attending. And a final point, the number of drops that happened over the two days also doesn't look good...at least they weren't published in an info graphic.
Who is ready for the legion article today?
Did I hear something about people getting tickets to Armada and then dropping to go over to X-Wing or other events?

Sure, why not. I’m feeling pretty masochistic lately.

Because worlds provides demographic data, that really isn't available anywhere else, that they can use to tailor their releases to the core of the community. Armada is a higher price point system. If the demographic data shows that the core community can't support more releases, then FFG is going to keep a slow pace.
What is that data? I have yet to see a wave not sale out at my FLGS and the last 2 waves has seen Minaturemarket sale out of ships. I know this is not the best gauge, but it is the only one I have seen. Yes a $50 and $40 ship won't sale as well as a $15 ship or card booster or $3 card booster, box ~$90, but in my limited observation Armada waves sell well. It is still the #3 (do not count the Wizkids unpainted - it is not a GAME, but CHEAP accessories) selling miniature game, although I am sure Legion will knock us down a slot this next time.
They have sales data to distributors, not end user sales as well. Big difference.

That's what they pay NPD for.

Trends and Research doesnt always equal market sales.

NPD isn't just trends and research. They collect survey data from retailers/point-of-sale.
I'd wager Asmodee/FFG have reliable sales data.

They can back in shipment data I am sure, but its not reliable sales data on the POS side. I deal with this as a retail manufacture myself its a bit of statistics, market research and reading tea leaves. It's not always accurate. Plus you tend to weigh heavily on data you collect on your own then what others provide for you when weighing it out because your more likely to trust your systems and collection than others.

If we're expecting a new announcement, aren't those posted on Thursdays?
Thursdays are for stuff that is now available.
Announcements tend to be Wednesdays and Fridays, I think.
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

You are correct on first point.

Sounds fun, what’s the list?

Almost each time was different but minor changes. I am working on triple ISDs fleets and I started with Cymoons. I will post the story eventually.
But for you:
1. Cymoon+GT x3. Vader. Flagship also brought Tua+RBD.
2. Cymoon+GT x3. Vader.
3. Cymoon+GT x3. Vader.
4. Cymoon+GT x3. Vader. Flagship also brought IF.
5. Cymoon+GT x3. Tarkin. Flagship was also Sovereign.
And yes, it is incredibly fun, at least to me. It is very challenging to fly so I enjoy it a lot.
I have a knack for falling in love with games that fall by the way side... I hope that Armada is not starting to taste like the Specialist Games from GW...
- Got into Epic Space Marine back in the days which quickly became one of GW's black sheep
- Got into Battlefleet Gothic which we know where that went.
- Loved Man O War which died before it was born.
- I even dabbled in Warmaster which had a life span of 10 minutes...
I'm such a loser, I should play 40K and Xwing!

I feel you pain Zeiss, I also played Mechwarrior from wizkids.
Great game with those dials!! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MechWarrior:_Dark_Age
Have 1000+ mechs and figure at home, they were great, already painted and you could keep track of your damage with the dials..also the dials gave you different stats if you were damaged.
Or Star wars CCG..still best star wars card game out!
But again it perished..
they have the SSD already to go.... they just cant find a decent rebel opposition ship.... and cant find enough different rebel ships to make a fleet box instead!
