Or how everyone was super keen to buy Saw's Renegades - $40 to update exactly 2 ships to a more balanced state.

But ask them for $50 to update 17 ships to a new, more balanced state, as part of an entirely-new-and-better game system? END OF THE FRACKING WORLD!

I haven't played for awhile, but I could see how you'll have to spend more than that to get everything youd need. There are only 2 bwings in the conversion box. If you have 4 models and can fit 4 in a list, you've got to buy two kits.

I don't think FFG could do it another way really though. Can't make everyone happy. It is likely going to create a huge secondary market for some of the more sought after stuff I think.

Can fit 4 in a list, but in a glorious era where EVERYTHING may be competitive.... why do you necessarily WANT to?

Anyone else just kinda completely give up on Armada getting any info now? I was trying not to be too bitter and just accept that the first day was going to be dedicated to x-wing but they've literally said nothing about anything else and I guess I'm just getting it; FFG has ghosted us guys, time to move on.

I've got some hope for a Friday reveal for May 4th. But it's small.

Next guess is the 24th to tie to the Solo movie. If not for content just for hype.

I exist in a state of not particularly expecting new info. It's the enlightened path to so thoroughly enjoying all the internet outrage when there isn't any.

We'll get news eventually. In the meantime, life goes on.

I bet the next Armada release is going to come out and will actually be xwing models inside the box.

I'm in that weird spot where I mostly bought 1-2 of any ship, but what really irks me is that if you just buy a single copy of each release, you'll end up with 5 TIE Fighters but the upgrade kit only has 4 conversion pieces.

I have a lot of Imperial ships where I only need 1 more set of tokens/dials/whatever to complete my stuff, but for some reason I can get 3 Decimators in the kit.

My hope was that the kit would provide sufficient material to convert a squad over to 2.0. So if you could field 8 TIE Fighters, then there would be that much in the kit or 4 Assault Gunboats or 3 Defenders. This may still be the case, so I'll wait and see. Maybe there's a field limit on ships?

Add-on: The funnier part was when my group told me my concern was unfounded and said, "Well we can just trade stuff in kits!" So I asked if anyone was willing to trade their 4 TIE Fighter kit pieces for everything I don't need in my kit (2 Decimators, 2 Lambdas, 2 Inquisitor TIEs, etc) and nobody took me up on it.

Pretty much how I feel about it.

FFG, Armada may not be your best selling game but show those who do generate revenue for you a little more courtesy please. Is it really too much to ask that we are not completely ignored or the game we love overlooked?

The core set is obligatory, so you'll end up with 6 TIEs, 1 unconverted.

Cool! Thanks for the info. I thought I didn't have to buy the Core Set, though? From what I was reading, it sounded like the core set was only for new players and everything came in the conversion kit for people who have been in since day 1.

Ultimately, I'm not their production manager so I don't know what kind of cost analysis they did. The part I really am hearing and do really like is that we won't have to buy out of faction stuff to get all the available upgrades for your ships. That's pretty nice. I think I can finally stick to just Imperials then.

You can fit 4 in a list now (I have 3 BTW) but will you be able to when the new points list in the app are finally revealed?

I don't play competitively any of my games and enjoy 200-300pt themed XW battles with Epic ships at times. The conv box is aimed at tourney players. That stated, I'm sure I can work around some if the short supply of stuff until my OCD kicks in.

Until then, I'm happy playing Armada anyway so am in no rush.
