IA's next wave was announced last week, though. So it's not that they're just holding onto them.

It's more than a feeling.

True. But IA also had a bit of a leak with the world's prizes and had zero news since October.
I think they're clearing the deck for some major shake ups. IA is either getting some major 2nd edition for the old core units or theyre going to stop producing small packs and focus on campaign play. Speculative but that's my big guess.

Thanks, I am incompetent.

... wait, you mean you missed the IA news drop of, yknow, a new box and a bunch of packs?

I saw it. Maybe my reply wasn't clear enough. IA got the drop because of the world's prizes and having 0 news since October. It also clears them for a massive announcement, like a 2ed or a pull back from skirmish to focus on campaigns over the next year.

XWing got one too today

Yep. And like I had said in the post svelok quoted that was stuff they had already announced. Deck clearing. I bet the next wave gets rolled out at hyperspace report.
For Armada I'm guessing we're getting a new campaign. Maybe something tied to the death star. A few new objectives. Probably squad pack with uwings and tie reaper. Don't know what else would be in it. I

Plenty of squadron options for a set of 'squadrons 3' boxes. Just what is in X-Wing, in order of descending probability (IMHO), we have...
Imperial
Rebel
...and of course there is frequent discussion on the X-Wing forum about what may be coming next. There is, after all, a number of fighters and ships we've seen on-screen already (or will soon in the Solo movie) that are yet to even hit X-Wing.
I don’t know why that awful TIE Punisher design gets mentioned when the Scimitar Assault Bomber is such a better design for an imperial heavy bomber.
TIE Avenger, Assault Gunboat & TIE Droid should deffo be in the game.

Not sold on that design, it’s not horrible like the Punisher but still too much imperial xwing for me.
And 14 points for a fighter with bomber snipe & grit? Seems a bit cheap

I dislike cross comparison, but compared to an E Wing, for 1 less point, it’s got 1 less blue base, one more speed, and one more hull.
Blue Bomber is also more “reliable” than Red bomber, but with the same rough average damage (red is just spikier)
Its... perhaps a point cheap... There is no reason to not Sloane with them.
One day they’ll print a good generic squadron with grit and people will realise how undervalued it has been this whole time.

Conditions that are binary(either it works or it doesn't. grit, intel...) or global(no range restriction. pre-nerf relay, admirals...) tend to go from underpowered to overpowered with even small changes to the ability or the environment the ability is in. For instance, as FFG adds more and cheaper ways to encourage fighter balls to spread out, grit becomes a better keyword. The scale will tip at some point, and grit will become meta. Don't think we are quite there yet.
My favorite extreme example: In an objective where you lose all your defense tokens at the start, the Tagge player is king...

Not sure if he is the king, but Sloane is definitely the looser.

Not surprising seeing how much Sloane has been used recently.

I won 3/3 (10-1; 10-1; 6-5) with Vader's Triple Cymoon.
At what point something should be nerfed?

Wait the E-wings are speed 4. So one less hull and one less Blue ASq for grit and blue bomber?
