They had to improve their Legion game play before they announced it. Imperial Assault is Descent 3.0, Legion is Rune Wars 2.0.

After the hype... there is only the Void.

I like Rune Wars. I'd be far more likely to play that than Lamegion (if it had regular new content). But alas, no time, nor a desire to spend the money. Oh, and the home office is already bursting with star wars plastic

I eyed this, Legion and the new Batman mini game on Kickstarter, but I have to ask myself how many more games that I do not have the opportunity to play do I need. Maybe in another month or 2 when I have added more I will have an answer.

I asked for painting items for xmas to start painting and she started seeing more the collection and almost started to ask questions, I got nervous. She wouldn't care but would gripe and then go buy some shoes or another bag.

FAQ would be great. We are under a month out from Worlds.

Legion needs OP rules still, and the first OP kit is meant to hit stores fairly soon, so that's a solid thing to bet on. (And they stealth-released army and sign-up sheets yesterday.) And supposedly Alex Davy is working on an FAQ (or RRG update, or some other form of document) to bridge the gaps between the L2P and RRG, so that should also be around the corner, plus a release date for Veers.

Would they announce any big new releases for Star Wars at this point, rather than waiting a month to do it at Worlds?

Yea the Legion RRG is pretty sloppy.

I’m curious... talking about why bother: a FAQ for the Star Wars LCG? I would have figured it would be like the Titanic by now. How many people are sticking around since it has officially hit the iceberg?

Seems to depend on who you ask.

But the last few comments were about the Star Wars LCG, which is a different game from Destiny. With Destiny's release and uptake, though, they unsurprisingly confirmed that the LCG was getting its final expansion release and this will presumably be its last time with a World Championship Event at FFG. It now goes to the hallowed halls of Dead CCG Heaven, where it joins the rank of a few amazing card games and whole host of terrible games.

I don’t think we can even say “presumeably” since FFG has flatly stated it as so ?

I mean, it’s a really well made game, and really shows the growth in FFG’s ability to expand what an LCG/CCG can do. It’s just that it is freaking complicated for a card game. When all is said and done, you could play a game of armada in the time it takes to play a game of L5R (granted I’m sure it gets faster once you know what you are doing).
