Eh, can't care enough today.

I mean, there was s stealth update on the upcoming page. Progress was last updated on the 21st, but we are still in development.

minimum timeframes to release are basically 3 weeks at printer, 6 weeks on boat, 2 weeks ship now.

thats close to Christmas already.

At minimums.

not even average or anywhere near it.

Legend of the Five Rings article thingy

So its not looking likely that Santa will be bringing me plastic spaceships for Christmas....

Sad.

Eh, its Christmas.

Christmas last year, we ended up getting like, a 5 week boat window to get the product in for Christmas.

So its possible.

I'm just jaded as all **** and don't believe in Christmas miracles anymore.

Unfortunately for my wallet I discovered the wonder that is Eaglemoss's Star Trek Starships Collection so for me the later the next Armada wave...the better :D:P

That being said I hope it comes out early since I can just wait to buy them ;)

The owner of our FLGS had a heart to heart with us. He's fed up with FFG's inability to set a date and deliver product. He can schedule events for GW and MTG because they can at least land a release date within a few weeks. To him, FFG is making it impossible to market the product correctly, especially since he's not in a major metro (Scranton/WB is a large area with a lot less than say Philly or Pittsburgh).

I see his point as it's his livelihood with the store. I'm just waiting to see what is coming and how to sort my money out to buy it. Honestly, I'm Looking forward to Legion more than anything else from FFG, including Armada.

Eaglemoss has Really nice sculpts that you can't find other places. They have taken a bite out of my wallet in the past.

Did people think it would be significantly before Christmas?

They said Q4 they have consistently I feel been hitting the end of quarters of the first week of the next. So therefore the end Dec should be what you were planning on

That sounds like xmas...

It is odd that ffg doesn't do everything in their power to have all their product scheduled for this quarter on store shelves for Black Friday. Wouldn't that be the best way to maximize profit for this quarter? If I ran a business I would try very hard to have the product available for Black Friday. With that said I expect it to see this wave hit shelves a few days before Christmas. It is frustrating though because I would have loved to have had some loved ones buy me these ships as gifts rather than me having to blow $75 on myself when I should be spending cash on family and friends.

Black Friday is still considered to be a Big-Box Retailer thing.

And FFG doesn't generally put stock there, with a few individual exceptions.

Black Friday is one thing but FFG doesn't even worry that much about having things available for the Holidays, and I share your frustration there. I guess the other issue is most of us don't want to wait :) so we end up buying it for ourselves anyway. I got a really good deal on a very early pre-order for Wave 7 though so I will have mine as soon as they come in, if it is a few days before Christmas (or I can at least safely predict they will be) I will hand them to my wife to wrap and gift to me. Kind of boring but it saves on the gift expense I guess.

Judging by the type of threads most prevalent ATM (how to fix Armada) we REALLY need an article soon.

Did somebody say: "fix" Armada?

Why do people want to always fix Armada? Why not just improve it? Meh.

Its one and the same on the procedure. The only difference is your starting position on the enjoyment scale.

Enjoying and want to make it better? Improve.

Not Enjoying and want to make it better? Fix.

That help to understand how perverse Yuuzhan vong are. :D

I'd go a little farther.

Enjoying and want to make it better? Improve and share results.

Not Enjoying and want to make it better? Fix and force everyone to play your way.

It's how it is presented that makes a difference.

I was being supportive, rather than negative.

And I'm being objective. Helping someone figure out how to make the game better is different than stating the problems that need to be fixed. One is inquisitive. The other is commanding.

I demand improveable fixes around here, with some improved fixes. Or possibly some fixed improvements damnit! Or God help us improveable fixments.

There shouldn't be anything wrong with thinking the game is broken. That's a personal, subjective measure and thought.

People should not be belittled for thinking that way. and they are. For voicing those opinions. Whether or not they offer a measurable defined path to what they believe is improvement or not.

People shouldn't feel bad, or dismissed, for having those thoughts.

Not everyone who wants to fix wants to force everyone to play that way, as a generalisation as to what you said.

Some do, for sure, but some are looking for suggestions for their local group. Some are looking for their own casual games. Some are just looking for feedback on what they've already implemented.

The negative disposition professed towards someone who wants to fix what they see as broken shouldn't be taken and assumed to be the way you did with your statement.
