The Prince, Of Mice and Men, Frankenstein, The Silmarillon, and then the box set of "Bunny Suicides." I can appreciate true meme artistry when I see it.

Wait, where was the Silmarillion?

It's the blueish-purple one in the middle.

Oh! Sorry, I thought for some reason he was talking about a Silmarillion-themed Meme.

Because is good or because is crap?

The basic mechanics are actually extremely good. I'm very big on the fact that scoring points to win the game comes with a loss of board state, which opens up vulnerabilities. It's quite good in its bones.

The card pool became a raging dumpster fire of degenerative mechanics that avoid or negatively interact with the base mechanics, though, so the short version is "crap." With the new core box, some of the stronger cards are out but it's a polished turd at this point.

Dorodango is considered an art form.

And at least the Mythbusters showed it works in that media, too...

And the rotation system they are going to implement?

I really love the theme and the mechanics and I like it as long as it is not as huge as MTG but the chances of a one deck to rule them all scares me.

@Drasnighta

What percentage chance do think there is that we get a Star Wars Armada article tomorrow?

Maybe they are waiting for this thread to hit 200 pages before dropping it.

Some of the earlier powerhouse cards are going to rotate out, but a lot of the doubling down on dumb happened a cycle or two ago, as well as some permanently-there cards in Order & Chaos. Experienced Netrunner players are jazzed that things that used to be staples that made the game bad are leaving, but stuff that is still there and makes the game bad isn't going anywhere.

If they had rebooted the entire game, I would've actually been cautiously optimistic. Like I said, it's a really good game in its bones. It's just let itself go and the rotation isn't going to fix that, or at the very least it won't fix it anytime soon.

If I am not going to compete does it worth it? I mean, no tournament but I would like a minimum of a challenging level.

If no netrunner, then...

What I will do now?!!!

Maybe the Rebel side. Rebellion expansion. Twilight Imperium.

EDIT: I got some info from the forum. I think I will pass but I have to admit that I do it with a feeling, like I was loosing something good.

What about the original game?:D

It really would depend on who else would be playing casually with you. If your casual play group is pretty chill and there's some kind of consensus on what is BS versus what is acceptable and you can jive with that, then you're ready to rock. You're still going to need to buy 3 new core sets and about 20 data packs and 4 big box expansions to have access to everything that's legal, though. So you know, just about $600 or so. The cost comes down if you decide you can skip certain datapacks or whatnot, but the cost to entry is still going to be a few hundred dollars to have anything that feels like it works and isn't laughably noncompetitive. This is the inherent problem with the LCG model - it's relatively inexpensive to jump on board when it's new and then keeping up with it is a small monthly expense, but once it gets to a big enough size, getting in as a new player is quite difficult as there's a tremendous amount of catching up to do.

Rebellion expansion is supposed to be pretty legit. @geek19 and I need to get in a game with that one of these days.

Alternatively, there's lots of other good board games out nowadays: Photosynthesis, Unearthed, Kingdomino, Century: Spice Road, Feast for Odin, Modern Art, etc. Those are just the ones that come to mind casually, I guarantee you there's lots more.

If you're interested in LCGs, the LoTR one is excellent, in my opinion. The cooperative model significantly tones down the push to build the "one deck to rule them all." It's fun, heavily thematic, and best of all, it can be played solo, for those days when you just can't convince a friend to play it with you.

So, let me kind of parse this.

This was asked 11 hours ago. Which would make it Wednesday. Its 2am and I'm in the middle of my transcripton workday, soI have to confirm these things.

You're asking about Tomorrow, which would mean Thursday.

Ergo, my answer is 0.000000000%

Because we're not expecting any Armada in Stores, and Thursday is the day for telling people stuff is releasing, rather than any other updates.

I am surprised that FFG hasn't done an official (English) tease of the MC75. I kinda figured they withheld it from the the original article just to be able to do a second article early on. Mostly to appease the "no article" complainers.

It is easy.

Thrawn and the Chimaera was "something big", and everything else is mostly irrelevant to that marketing.
