I'd believe the TLJ connection, but let's be honest. The MC75 is too good looking to exist in the JJ-verse version of Star Wars.

Snatching ships from the other movies is the only way to get good looking new ships in the sequel trilogy.

I think the ship design themselves are nice in the ST. It's just the scale that throws one off. Like, if the Resurgent was the size of an ISD, and the Mandator IV the size of the Interdictor, they'd be really cool, sensible designs. But the scale makes them unbelievable, and thus less cool.

They're not the worst looking ships, but none of them have wowed me either. The Resurgent looks like a half finished ISD, and the Mandator IV looks like a metallic slice of pizza. There is certainly potential in the designs, but to me they look half baked.

And yes, you are 100% right about the scale being off in both of them.

I'm inclined to believe in them as closer to GR-75s than the Falcon, also, would add some nice synergy with Profundity if it were a flotilla

Going by the best information we have; the LEGO Resistance Bomber set is a bit shorter in terms of bricks than the normal-scale Millennium Falcon ones. They're tall but not that long.

The Falcon is about 35m long. Going by this image I'd estimate the lower gun turret on the Bomber to be about 2m high. Then comparing with the 4 bombers we can see most of in this picture I get estimates of between 29m and 32m for the bombers' length and 21-23m for their height (which is a surprisingly narrow range for how rough pixel-counting is).

Wookieepedia puts the GR-75 at 90m and Gozanti at 64m; the VCX-100 at 40m, YT-2400 and Firespray-31 at 21m, HWK at 29m, YV-666 at 47m or 62m, Lambda Shuttle, IG-2000, Scurrg and Jumpmaster at 20m and Decimator at 38m.

So unless something has gone very wrong somewhere that would make the Resistance Bomber within the scale of the single-stand squadrons, not the flotillas.

Which makes sense; they're almost certainly based on WWII bomber designs (just with one large vertical wing, rather than horizontal ones) - and they're mostly in the 20-30m range.

Lego design sizes aren't really something to truly take in consideration, otherwise I'd be impressed by how small the death star was and the whole plot would have been a propaganda from the Rebellion, but I see the point you make, although I don't think they are after WW2 bombers, since when talking about inspiration for ships in the new trilogy, they generally say they looked later than WW2 I believe.

I just thought "duuude, I ran over your Interdictor model in the driveway, but it's ok! I had a bottle of crazy glue and it's like new now man".

Runewars got another new unit announcement.

I hope we get some articles soon.

According to the oracle @Drasnighta an Armada article is still weeks away from becoming a reality.

AN ADMIRAL CAN DREAM!

The spread show on the Spanish side of things, at least, isn't an article. It is literally just the photo spread that the Chimaera has thusfar.

So its important to know that, at the very least, we're not getting U-Wings, and we're up in a good slection of upgrade cards...

But we're still on track for, y'know, Articles in November.

Unless they want to give them early and we sit and wait and watch and do nothing until they finally arrive in stores..... It could go either way. Once upon a time, they gave a teaser at the start to announce and build hype, and then the details were right before release to reinforce that hype.

These days, its been split. I mean, take for example the last set of IA expansion (not box) articles... They gave two of the three right away, but the final one then waited like, Seven Weeks and was right before release...

He's calling it again.

We know who to blame.

(I mean, at least this time, he didn't call an Armada article tomorrow. Just an Article. ) :D

I just wish they'd consistently spoil everything in the wave in enough time that I know how many I want to preorder at my FLGS (so that they can in turn preorder whatever makes sense for them).

Anything odd about the single article per day release schedule. Didn't they do two prior to Force Friday II?

Sometimes as much as 4.

But single articles seem to be their "Slow time normal". And exceptional times are more than that...

It was a single today, for example, because only one thing hit "In Stores Now" this week.

I know already.

With 3 ISDs and almost every card in the Chimaera expansion being unique I won't buy 2.

Wait! With 4 ISD I could need 4 task forces but then I would have 5 ISDs. Dammed! I will need 3 Chimaera.

X_WING ARTICLE

CNinj, You Fool!

Of course, the take away from this is:

The Resistance Bomber is a large ship in X-Wings 1/270 Scale

Which would fit it as an Irregular Squadron in Armada, rather than a Combat Flotilla...

Unless they really tinker with the Scalings...

Well ****.

I'm actually surprised at how small it ends up being.

I mean, in that 1/270 scale... It doesn't look like its much Taller (or Wider) than Slave one.

Of course, she's got a long ***.
