Didn't this thread use to be a live count of how long we had no FAQ?

Yes. Is it possible to get a clock like which we use in mafia games? It would be fun.

They are countdowns, when shall we set it for?

No, I think Ard had his own thread for it.
This thread was for article predictions. Ard split off his FAQ count thread elsewhere.
On actual prediction business, we know this is going to be a Christmas Release at the Latest...
So, if we assume a Christmas week release like last year, that would mean :
"In Stores" no later than the 21st of December.
->
"Shipping Now" no later than 8th of December.
->
"On the Boat", assuming an 8 week period there... October 13th.
Whch means, as we are currently "In Development", we would need to switch from "In Development" to "At the Printer" fairly quickly. As there is often a 3-4 week "Printing Now" set before the On the Boat saga begins.
We'll know (and be able to estimate more) once the Upcoming page updates to "At the Printer"
- that period was like, 2 weeks for Wave 6.
Now, Articles are generally while its "On the Boat" - and specifically, the weeks right before it comes off the boat, with the final article heading the "Shipping Now" change.
So we've got 10-12 weeks to wait.

Article prediction date, 10-12 weeks you said?

I also said we'd know more once we have a second timeframe point established.
Its impossible - and fruitless - to try to guess this far out, other than to look at potential numbers, which I'e done there...
It'd be better to start an 8 week "on the boat" timer once it hits that, so we can see how over-or-under time it goes...
(Beause I budget 8 weeks, but FFG themselves budgets 4-6)

haha would be fun if the clock actually was right on the date, so I'm keeping it there for that one reason

You know the procedure... Vader-meme it or GTFO ?
Prediction:
the MC-75 spread was not shown because there will be a MC-75 in The Last Jedi, Commanded by the new character Vice Admiral Haldo.
This will be revealed in the next Teaser trailer, with an FFG update not long after.
Odds of this happening: 45%

I would love this so much, please let it be true!

It might explain why the Empire has a 2nd commander if they both have 2 commanders. Also the MC-75 might have a pair of those resistance bombers to go against the mando fighters.

They are somewhere between Millennium Falcon big, and GR-75 big.
Just now, GrandAdmiralCrunch said:They are somewhere between Millennium Falcon big, and GR-75 big.
I'm inclined to believe in them as closer to GR-75s than the Falcon, also, would add some nice sinergy with Profundity if it were a flotilla
I'd believe the TLJ connection, but let's be honest. The MC75 is too good looking to exist in the JJ-verse version of Star Wars.
