I can say I've put my Armada collection away for a month or two to recover from it. It's healthy to do that if you ever burn out on something you enjoy doing.

For me it was a response to Regionals 2016... I loved the game but at a total of 1-9 with a good number of those matches being lopsided, I needed to walk away.

I don't know about the rest of you guys and gals... I'm excited to just even see new ships on the tables. Regardless of how good or bad they may be!

And look at you now, Store Champ.

After Nov Regionals last year, I think all the guys in Durham/Raleigh took a break until CC dropped. Then we all started playing the campaign, and took another break after Marietta Regionals. It's been going steady for the past 3 months, but with store champs and wave 6, we are all amped to start playing again.

Strange, this is sort of how I've been feeling about X-wing lately, and I've had the same reaction to it. For the first time since I started playing back in wave 1, I haven't preordered anything, and probably won't buy any of it. It's become stale due to several reasons, but the latest wave has actually made it worse, rather than better, even before it has released.

After Regionals last year, I burned out on it a bit. I stepped away and started Armada, and found it immensely refreshing. I got back playing X-wing after a while, but another Regionals came and went, and burned not just me out again, but several of the players I respect most in the area. It's such a shame, but it can happen.

I do heartily suggest taking a step away from the game for a bit, and maybe rejoin in purely casual play for a bit. My time away from the competitive edge of X-wing saw me play a lot of 150pt and 300pt Epic games with friends, which helped me realise it wasn't the game I didn't like, but chasing the competitive meta. It's a quiet promise I've made to myself in Armada since then; don't take it too seriously, even in a tournament.

I am doing that but with Runewars.

I feel about the same way. The X-Wing meta chased me to Armada, I could not get a game of X-Wing outside of 6/100 tournaments. As a new player the turn out for World's, and to a lesser extent Euro, scared me with Armada. But the FAQ and new ships has helped push those X-Wing fears away.

With Quarter 2 behind us, I expect the first teaser for. Wave 7 by the end of the month. Let the buildup to Q4 begin!

My prediction... Epic play. (SWM20 is still the SSD)

A medium for the Rebels, and a small for the Imps.

Its possible to have an announce pre-GenCon, and then see prototypes/productions at GenCon...

For content... Don't really care, havn't gotten Wave 6 yet, but on my observations its already shifting our local meta, so I need to be wary and really play some games before Myth's store champs during GenCon time.

Last year, wave 5 was announced somewhere between August 8 and 11.

I'm hoping for a big base for the Imps and a medium for the Rebels. But I'm not sure if the MC75 is small enough for a medium base...

The fit the New-Designed Interdictor on it, despite their external hangar bay accommodating a CR95 - so it can be done ;)

And unlike, say, the SSD being shrunk to a reasonable size - We don't really have a measure of the MC75s direct capabilities in comparison to other craft... And what we have isn't 'orders of magnitude' different.

So if they want it to be a Medium it'll be a Medium.

Personally, I hope its "something different" for the rebels... Like a Mid-Range, Mid-speed boat. Lots of Blue and Ion, to be different... Forgoe the Red and Black...

I am very interested in the game state to be change and modified a little... I don't necessarily want mirrors on both sides, in fact, I don't want that at all - but there's still a lot of design space to explore.

Soon as you get a lot of Blues and an Ion cannon you just make a bigger CR90b with SW7s, sadly.

Only if its Fast.

Nah. Make it clumsy, beefy, slow, yet capable of wielding Disposable Capacitors and SW-7s, and I'm perfectly fine with it. Even if it had the movement of the Vic.

Icb is where it's at!

Ion Cannon Batteries are still my favourite Ion upgrade.

MC-75

Medium base. Double Ion Cannon, Weapons Team, and Offensive Retrofit. Speed 3.

That's what I want. FCT into 2 Ion crits.

That would be my Blue-Die Dream come true.

Ergo, it will never happen. They've already Nerfed my Signature List into obsolescence once! :D

It would be a great ship. Not sure what commander would go well with it though. Maybe Garm? Ackbar if it had large side arcs.

Eh hem...... Only the best one eva! Admiral Raddus!

Admiral Raddus: 26pts - Call up a Hammerhead Corvette! After both players have finished their deployment, Admiral Raddus may deploy one Hammerhead Torpedo Corvette. This ship is friendly to no ship, has no dice in any of it's battery arcs, and activates as if it had revealed a Navigate dial immediately after the command phase concludes, regardless of whether Admiral Raddus is first or second player.

They would have to sell a hammerhead with the Mc75 for that to work.

Or not, and make more money.

And piss off your entire fan base!

I agree! But without knowing what his ability or hypothetical ability would do, it's hard for me to say what commander would be good with a blue dice ship.
