Article Predictions. Mostly General Discussion. But there's definately some Predictions scattered throughout.

I am happy to be proven wrong.

I predict they are going to throw up the Hammerheads article too today. Dang it. So I'm absorbing as much Empire lovin' as possible before the upload...

Nah, im betting a week at least. They usually spread it out, giving everyone time to freak out over the new stuff each week.

I would 'like' this, but I'm hoping you are wrong. . . :)

Given a Hammerhead article next Friday it's a possibility that Wave 6 is on sale at U.K. Games Expo.

They could have made a decent joke by naming the article 'Undeadly Aim'. . . oh well.

Scuttlebutt on the Books-of-Face tell me that an Interdictor list won a Store Champs... Richmond, I think it was...?

Break out the sandwich boards, end is nigh!

Wonder if it was a point farm/nose punch.

It was in North Carolina. The Richmond crew crashed the party and took the top 2 spots. The top was indeed a dictor list.

Aha, my Scuttlebutt Translator wasn't quite attunted, so thank you for the straight info!

Hopefully we'll get the actual list - because I'm super interested when Interdictor lists win.

I find the utter lack of articles - since Friday - disturbing.

If I'm falling behind at work by Wednesday, I'd suspect a new article this Friday.

Always when I can't slack off and take in the forum chatter without consequence.

I was there but didn't play against it. I think it was a 16 point bid with Motti, Demo (OE+APT+ET+IO?), 2 Goz, and Interdictor (ET+LS+TS+DCO+3 other upgrades). Rhymer, Maarek, 2 or 3 Defenders, maybe Tempest and Gamma.

The tournament had 9 people, so this list got a bye first round which put him near the top after round 1. Went on to win 2 7-4's I think. I took 4th and beat 2 of the 3 guys. My last game I played was pretty epic. Not sure if the guy I played is on the forums or not. I barely pulled out a 6-5 win.

It was a good tournament, but they talked a lot of **** before they showed up and while they were here which was pretty annoying. Apparently they are pedantic about the rules, especially tokens on the base. Wish they had read a little further since they measure and move squads incorrectly and didn't have the correct models set up when we played. But hey, gotta make sure those command tokens are on the base since thems the rules.

That doesn't sound like Armada players :(

While we were playing, they were great. It was a casual tournament and we had fun. Don't get me wrong, they are good players and I enjoyed playing them.

But it was after we finished that it got annoying because of the constant comments.

I need your dictors fleet. Where it is?

Undead how in the **** do you (they) move squads incorrectly? I'm seriously at a loss as to what could be wrong since this is something I thought everybody picked up on right away.

Yeah you just throw them at your opponents face and play them from where they land on the bounce. This is Armada 101!

You measure by putting the ruler on the base. They were floating it and there was no reason. Not like there was a giant mess, where it is allowed to float the ruler.

But hey, that's me being pedantic.

Maybe they have sticky, greasy fingers?

psst

RRG, Page 3: Command Tokens

• A command token is assigned to a ship by placing it next to the ship in the play area.

Not on the base.

The original (1.0) version is on Page 106 of this thread. (Don't worry, I'll direct link it at the end)

The Enhanced (2.0 version played around with the Squadron Builds, to add some CC stuff in lieu of Bomber/Vader (Tempest took over that role, for example)

Nose Punch 3.0 is still in testing as we speak, and will be released with the Quasar.

Well I'll be damned. I didn't bother checking because it wasn't a huge deal to put them on the base to stop them from complaining.

Saying it was a close game doesn't do it justice. One Rhymer roll different and I would have won 1st. I could have also easily backed off and settled for second place, but I made the strategic decision to go HAM or go home. Contrary to popular belief, we know how to play down in NC.

It was cool to see a dictor in first place though. Its the funnest ship in the game to play.
