Precedents are hard to judge these days, because of the way things have been Shaken up...
- We have a 2 Item, and thus most likely, a 2 article wave...
If they are going to give them to us early, as they have in the past with articles, then yes, we can expect them any Day Now...
If we look to Imperial Assault, then its potential that we will get one article fairly early, so perhaps even some time this week, but the second article would not be presented until, basically, its on its way to Stores....
Another option is we'll get our 2 Articles right before Shipping now. That's at least two weeks away, still... But it would mean 2 Articles very quickly, and then have them in hands, minimum of fuss afterwards... based on the second-half of Imperial Assault, and on Wave 5's article releases, this is most likely...
But its hard to track, because the current measures we used to take - across all 3 games - don't exist... The latest X-Wing Wave hasn't even made it to the Upcoming page as "in development" yet, and its been something like a Month since they were announced...
So essentially - its impossible to tell.
Part of me thinks they took my emails to public relations personally, and are sulking as they withhold any information until I say I'm sorry.

I'm going to be adding Runewars to my Painting Commissions once my Airbrush is 100%.
... Not that I really want to. Massed-battle games was what I switched to Armada to avoid...
But it is an additional potential income stream, and it is less figures than I've painted in the past.
I mean, Runewars is a new game. FFG is trying to make sure the game that they're trying to compete with Warhammer Fantasy isn't going to die. Armada and X-wing are effectively established, so there's little reason to constantly be throwing up things for them. I understand we're all frustrated, but we'll get an article soon enough. The problem, I think, is that we all want the article NOW, so we can start planning out our ships and lists before they show up, but it'll happen when it happens.
Or if I'm supposed to be panic-ridden and everything, "WE'RE NEVER GETTING ANOTHER ARTICLE AGAIN AND THIS IS ALL @Drasnighta'S FAULT!!! I bet he's also responsible for Rieekan Aces being good and everything! Get him!"

Nah, i don't see you as pedantic. I LIKE pedantry, though, so.... I may not be the best judge.....
Also, nothing wrong with being the guy who made something work. You got the win with it, so no worries there.
I just don't really see the need for the daily "WHERE'S MY ARTICLE, DANGIT!" (I'm getting this in my friends email chain too, and it just doesn't help anything). Like, are we supposed to all sit around and be like "yeah, this sucks" producing no valuable content for anyone? I view it as an opportunity to pose interesting questions/discussions and talk about other stuff. Not just "how to fix the game" but something akin to the battleship one on the FP. The question was posed "are they viable" and Baltanok responded with a yes. (Thanks, @Baltanok, btw). So i've turned my efforts more towards mind exploration and different build ideas I have that COULD work. Or such like that.
I mean, its the Internet... That, and I like to think I'm some sort of pseudo-knowledgeable person in this little corner of the internet... So yes, I desire validation...
... Not... not so much that I'm willing to crow, shout and deride to get it, as some are... But hey, whatever floats boats.
I'm a big one on Negativity vs Posititivy, because I'm a downright depressed bastard IRL... So Positivity in ways I can express it, are good.
Which is why this whole thread is here... I don't want people to get down on the feeling that we never get an article, instead, I wanted a place where, at the very least, I could give some hope by providing some potential timelines, and in doing so, have a place to freely discuss things in a positive manner, while we're waiting for said timelines to occur, or not.

I literally want the articles so i know how many of each I want to pre-order. It's that simple. I have my FLGS standing by for my numbers.

Ah. That's valid. Our FLGS basically told us that we needed our pre-orders in at the end of April to get our stuff in for suresies in June. I've had my 2 Hammerheads preorder in for like 2+ weeks now based off of faith and hope.... and that I'm gonna want at least one card in the Quasar set, so I grabbed one of those too.
