*Surprise Wave 7 announcement*
The FAQ drag and the relatively slow release of any news so far makes me believe that you won't hear about Wave 6 until June (weeks leading to release). I doubt you'll hear about wave 7 until after 6 releases. My completely uneducated guess... October.

I can understand the sentiment.
If we do mirror how long IA took on the Boat though, the good news of that is getting Wave 6 News in May, because Release is Early-to-Mid June.
Wave 7 though. I want a good couple of Months, basically... Everything needs to shift sideways with Wave 6, and then we can reevaluate.

Even if we dont get an announcement soon, I will still hold out hope for a Gencon announcement in August... which would release around Christmas.

I'm ready to see more ships and upgrades in the game, so a May release would be most welcome (unless it means the ramming lists become the hot topic unbeatable lists. I haven't played against one, but it sure sounds cheesy as hell).
I'm also ready to wait for more releases past 6.
I agree about waiting on releases. I think we are going to fall into a late spring/early summer and Christmas release schedule.
If that happens, I would be ok with it. Need time between releases to figure out all the new stuff...and to save money.
I'll be honest:
The News Article Today just prompted me to fire off (another) Email to FFG.
The power of Perception is important... By putting up a "Watch the World Champions!" article on the 5th, when two Worlds Champions have been resolved the Day Before... When all you had to do is put that post up 24 hours earlier (and it even contains the dates of streams already concluded, its not like it wasn't ready beforehand!) is.... well, I believe the term I used was "either wilfully ignorant or borderline deplorable..."
So that's done at least.

I wilfully admit, I'm not all that fussed about things right now... Because I expect to have new toys in hand come about a month passing

I mean, the Article Window is open....
It depends on wether they want to have 2 Articles in 2 Weeks, or 2 Articles over 4 Weeks, or 2 Articles over 2 weeks and then have us have nothing until day-of-release.......
Precedences are impossible to narrow down, because in different games and different programs, all of the above are equally likely...

... yesterday, the article in question was deleted from the Newsfeed... Possibly because it was deemed completely irrelevant to advertising as the World Championships were over, but who knows...

Almost.
I am of the opinion that "Shipping Now" will hit Late May, if not first week of June.
"Shipping now" is a trivial 2 weeks at that point.
I hope its early and first half of June, mostly because I'm running store Champs on the 25th of June and would like people to get practice time with them, ratehr than be picking them up Day-Of

IA just had a situation where thet got the first of their articles right at the start of the process, but the last didnt hit until release, basically - which is why things are open
What are the odds that they will wait until the week before the release of Wave 6, (possibly the week of,) to unceremoniously dump both preview articles?
