Well here is the photo dump for the all-out offensive today!

Imperial forces engaged quickly, scalpeling out key squadrons early!

The fight really began in earnest when the rebels daringly hyperspaced in one mc-80 into the imperial front lines while the imperials came in to the rear of the rebels. It took almost every single fighter activation the imperials had but the they were able to down the beast!

Turn 3 saw the additional Star Destroyers jump in to the game while the rebels brought in Yavaris and Admonition to try and bring down some of the beasts. Unfortunately, almost every single rebel flottila, as well as Yavaris was removed thus turn while the rebels bloodied up both of the newly arrived Star Destroyers. The squadron battle was not going well for the rebels as the imperial were starting to exact a bloody toll on them. Additionally, I did get to live the dream and double heal Whisper from 2 health back to full with 2 defense token uses lol. Personal highlight for me 1f601.png?

Turn 4 saw an assault frigate, pelta and Dodonna's flagship Defiance go down as well as the one of the Star Destroyers. But things were looking grim for the rebellion as their fighter compliments were getting decimated by the unrelenting Empire.

Unfortunately we had to end at the start of turn 5, with Motti's flagship in peril as well as ackbars ship starting down the barrel of Demolisher.

All in all a great game today and looking forward to doing another campaign, hopefully with the new wave 6 toys!

With 6 Players who were all ready, willing and able to invest in Squadrons and Squadron Play...

... Only 5 Bases of Squadrons in the whole game were Unpainted.

They were last minute additions to the Ackbar Fleet... Also, I'd been struggling with Depression and Illness, so I hadn't had the opportunity to finish them. Or at least have ones ready from my personal collection to sub out.

That gets me excited to play the all out assault in my CC eventually. Especially since we have 8 players.

Thanks for the pics and write up. How long did you guys play? I see you said it ended at turn 5, was this a time issue? Do the Admirals out in hyperspace lend their ability in the field or do they have to be in the area of play to be activated.

I can't remember all the adjustments we made because this is my first CC anyway, so I haven't played 6 to compare. From what I do remember I know additional bases based on the number of people was still followed, but that's all I can confirm right now. So far no major issues with 8.

We played for the Solid 6 hours. No Breaks. The Sentry Box is only open 11-6 on Sundays (which happen to be the only available day to play for me - the organiser)...

Honestly, the last 3 turns at that point (5-7) would probably have only taken an hour at the most - but the battle was readily decided already at this point.

As for the Rules Question - basically, the precedence you should look at is Hyperspace Assault (Yellow Objective), and its associated FAQs.

In short:

"While your Ship is in Hyperspace, it is off the board. While it is off the board, it is not in play. While it is not in play, none of its upgrades "exist" as such, and this includes Fleet Commanders, which are an upgrade."

Thanks. Our FLGS is opened 1-6 on Sundays and I have had to tell our group that we will probably need more time to play, several of us are newer and take a little longer to play.

Okay, so, we're officially on the start of the Hype Train for Wave 6....

.. well, okay. Its more of the Hype-Bus to get the Hype-Station, to take the Hype-Train, to get to the Port, to take the Hype-Ship... And we know all about Ships here, both in the Metaphorical and the Crossing the Goddamn Pacific sense...

This is typically 2 weeks, ending on a Thursday, so the release date projection would be:
29JUN2017

Technically, an On-Time Q2 Release.



Seems good to me.

Also, I am paying attention to the Runewars stuff that is currently "At the Printer"... First wave of that was at the printer on 10MARCH2017, and the second load on 20MAR2017.

Being that they are mixed Plastic/Cardboard components (the expansion packs), I do expect them to be similarily timed in production to Armada - although not identically (as of course, there is no paint involved)... But it will give somewhat of an indication towards the "4 Weeks at the Printer" Mark.

Every week at the Printer beyond 4 means it has to be 1 Week Quicker in the Overboat Transit than 6 Weeks (of their stated 4-6 projection) in order to meet that deadline, as so far, the 2 Weeks "Shipping Now" is pretty hard-coded.

so then what are we looking at as far as when the next articles should appear? I assume there is a a pattern they have established in the past...

With the Euro Champs article announced, I'm hoping for a look at Worlds prizes. I need to know how much of my soul I need to partition off for sale to get whatever commander is the Alt Art, since I cannot make it this year.

.....Though I suppose SkyCake you were looking for Wave 6 preview articles....

With only 2 releases, don't expect a word until its "On the Boat" at the very least... And even then, probably almost all the way across... They can drop both Articles in the 2 weeks it takes to be "Shipping Now", basically, as there's much less to cover than a full 4-release Wave.
