Tarkin was overseeing a new cannon ship being built in catalyst.... Can't remember what it was though
They were "Dreadnoughts" which most of us have taken to be SSDs by their description.

I thought I remember it being said they were inferior to ISDs.....

Krennic was calling them inferior to the Death Star. I believe the wording was something like 'the weapon will have ten times the firepower of one of these' or something like that. That's still a fuckton a firepower.
Edited by TruthinessDras what were your thoughts on catalyst.
Havn't read it.
Havn't read Tarkin.
Havn't read Aftermath.
Havn't seen Rogue One.
People never care about spoilers. So, basically, I still know everything, despite never getting a chance to read or watch any of it myself.

To be fair, Aftermath and Tarkin are over a year old at this point. There's a reasonable expectation we can talk about books that old.

Oh, of course, of course.
I'm talking about the fact that everything is spoiled day of release if you're someone who frequents FFG Forums + Wookieepedia on unrelated matters...
That's all ![]()
But I take it in my stride for the most part - As it was, I didn't get to see TFA until the day it was Released on Netflix - and I dare say it'llbe the same with Rogue One (sometime in August).... Just how things go.
Once their spoiled, well, they're spoiled... At which point, I read up on them.... So although I don't have the actual text of the books, or have watched the film - I'm still fairly knowledgeable enough to comment.
Flurry to the rebels, Ton Falk class Escort Carrier to the imperials.
Super Star Destroyer campaign annouced for 2018
Wave 6
It is like they got unclogged. I come back from lunch and there are 4 new articles. A record maybe?
Let's hope they stay unclogged, and we begin a long period of article diarrhea on behalf of FFG.
Meh... it just looks like they are posting an article for each item being released today like they used to do, instead of the single "New Today block" article we've been getting for the past however many months.
Bump
Yeah, we're running into a pronounced problem for Imps. How do you keep expanding their line, but keep them thematic? The ISD is so iconic that the movies have never really needed to do anything else. Hell, part of the reason so many people are clamoring for the SSD is because it's literally the only other Imperial capital ship in the movies. Even the other canon sources are running a little short. Rebels has already given us the Arquitens and the Interdictor. The Quasar is the only thing still remaining from that source I can think of. Some other stuff has popped up in the novels, but the problem still remains: how much more can the Imperial list grow and still be the Empire?
Short-term: Either create new ships, or take some from the old EU
Long-term: Wait til new ships/fighters come out from rebels and the movies

Does there need to be a 1 to 1 release structure with Imperials and Rebels? I mean, it's not fun to play Imps only and only get a trickle, but it makes sense theme wise. I think cross breeding is unavoidable (Neb B2's, ect) but it may be a way to help offset the lack of cannon materials for Imperials.

I don't think there needs to be, but the problem is, there's already a vocal group that are disappointed that the Rebels have both more Large Ships, and more Ships overall, than the Imperials.
Not that you need to contend with the masses for the most part.
I do think the FO stuff will come, but it'll be post at least the next movie... I mean, even with the New Star Destroyer, unless they introduce a new mechanic, they're going ot want to incorporate more than one Title, and we only have one right now (Finalizer).
I'm trying to do my best to not worry about the scale of things, and just enjoy the games as they come, now...
Sentry Box Corellian Conflict starts on the 29th of January... 6 People lined up... Got 3 more lined up behind them, so still recruiting to see if I'm running 2 concurrent campaigns >.<

TODAY IS THE DAY!
Please announce 3 or more capital ships.... no more squadrons please! No more 2 ship waves...... Lets see a proper big nasty wave of gorgeous miniatures!
Today is not the day. Gamma is the day
IMPERIAL ASSAULT

And they have BT1 and triple zero - directly from the Darth Vader comics.
Sooooooooo that means Comcis are now very possible in terms of where we are pulling stuff from now....
I mean we knew they were canon, but they gadn't been taking stuff that was ONLY in the comics - so wow I need to re-read my Darth Vader comics and see what else was hiding in the background.
Imperial Assault must sell so much better than Armada. It probably isn't even close, based on how much more product they make and put out.
The CC campaign price vs an Imperial Assault pack isn't even close either, based on how much we got.
c'est la vie
Careful, you're starting to sound like a certain Bladed Wing.
Their models seem easier to produce. Simpler pieces, no paint.
I wonder how much of the armada development process is spent on making the models.
We've got most of the ships from the movies.
I'd really rather just see more content: campaigns, objectives, optional rules, narrative games, etc...
