What confuses me with this;

I've been getting out of the house to play armada Fortnightly, while I'm running the League...

Skycake is one of the players.

But this is Calgary, you see... Technically, we both live in the Southwest of Calgary... Technically, the Sentry Box is also in the Southwest of Calgary... Right next to the Downtown Area.

But the Shop is in the very North-East Point of the Southwest Quadrant....

He lives in the North-West of the Southwest Quadrant...

If I lived any further South or West, I wouldn't be in Calgary anymore....

It takes me an hour to go north into the City on the Train.

Depending on Traffic, Macleod Trail to do the same by car can take even longer - especially on days like today, where there's not so much snow falling, but the 80km'hr winds are blowing Snowdrifts everywhere.

We got to play a little 4-player round-robin Tournament yesterday.

Skycake won the day with 23 points.

The other two placers had 17 and 13, I think.

I was tabled 3 times and ended up with 7.

So, yeah.

Also, with all of the rumours that Lion Rampant has been shorting places their X-Wing and Future Armada Stock, and the fact that they have Never cared that the Sentry Box is by all definitions a "Big Store" (and potentialyl the biggest store), they often get shorter stock, too.l...

And since I'm the guy who runs things... I need to be there, first thng, to get the Corellian campaign... because I didn't have money to put aside for an actual pre-order... By the time I had the cash, it was too late... So I have the money, but I have to get there...

Its cool. This year was both Good and Bad for me, too...

I got enough money through the Commission painting side of things to be able to pay for my Kiddo to have Transport To and From his Specialist school 5 days a week... If I got nothing else through the business the business has assisted my Child in a way that I could never have imagined - so for that I'm thankful.

Its only when I get to the selfish side of things where I go, "This year has been shitehouse", because on no less than 4 separate occasions, I had enough money squirreled away to be able to pre-order everything that was coming out, and then had to drop it on an unexpected expense (The Car broke twice, close to $300 in medications and med builds, etc, etc, etc)...

And of course, that doesn't account for how Statistically Abysmal my dice rolling has been...... Getting the small touranment win with Twin Interdictors was just scary (but I can't seem to transpose the list to Wave 5, and I doubt I'd get it to perform well at a Regional...)

So my plan, mostly, is to get the Corellian Campaign this week, first of all...

I'll probably set up the Hothgary League to be playing it... We play every 2nd Sunday, and between 11 and 6, we have enough time to have a Planning Phase, Play the games, Wrap the games up, update stuff, and then launch into a Second "Campaign Round", - so we're getting 2 Campaign Rounds done every 2 weeks....

Depending on the Players, I might not even play... If I get a lot of people wanting to play, then I'll get Second Campaign Box and run Two Campaigns Concurrently... Perhaps the second one can be Longer and Slower, with just One Round every Fortnight or something...

I have plans. My #1 priority for Hothgary is getting people playing.

But I'm working on other projects as well - Skycake has a full CC set of paintjobs that are coming along, and I want to strip my entire rebel force back to Blank and put the basecoats on with the Airbrush, but that's still seemingly not working to spec (and I'm convinced its User error)...

I mean, its inherently selfish - but I want ot be "Good for Something"....

Its hard to be a Good Father - or rather, its hard to feel like you're a good father of a Special Needs Child... There's a lot of blame that goes around, even when you don't deserve it - hell, there's a lot of snide remarks because I'm the father, and not the mother... But that's another story.

I just want the places I hang out to be accepting, positive places - and the Forums here tend to swing wildly... At the moment, expect me to be hanging out more in Rules than anywhere else, and not paying as much attention to the front page - its not healthy... But I'll bounce back here on occasion, because I get notifications as thread progenitor.

Although I don't know if I'll end up sharing it with the Greater Rules community here... A lot of people were pretty biting on that sort of stuff when it came up.

I definitely can sympathize. I watched my Aunt struggle to take care of her daughter who is extremely mentally handicapped (I think she's Autistic primarily) while going through an abusive relationship, then a nasty divorce (although that never technically got finalized before she died of Cancer).

Now I watch my older cousin have to be a mom to her sister while trying to start a career and a family of her own. I can't imagine being in those shoes. But I do give you props for managing to do what you do for your family.

For what its worth - I may be in the same boat. My dad attempted suicide a couple of weeks ago and is still in hospital. I'll match whatever bounty you pay out on 2016.
