Yeah, but it usually works from my phone...
Article Predictions. Mostly General Discussion. But there's definately some Predictions scattered throughout.
Welp.
Pre-ordered one of every wave 5 yesterday and a CC.
God knows when we'll get it or what it does.

DOOM, the U-Wing, and TIE-Striker for X-Wing just hit "Shipping now" in the past 10 minutes.
This just in! (Read in 1920's radio voice) : FFG gives another giant middle finger to anyone who enjoys Armada!
I don't see how that's the case....
... Since they don't directly control the shipping vagaraties of the world...
...
I mean, sure, be upset there's no article from them... But there's no reason to be upset over that..
Oh but there is. Clearly FFG is putting most of their inventory on modern shipping vessels, but is relying on Spanish galleon's to transport any and all Armada product
Or, simply, as they contained Pre-Painted models, and were not bound by a strict movie-release timeframe, they simply ended up on trailing vessels, instead of the forefront ships, as they took longer to produce?
Time-on-Boat is about the same for most of these things... Corellian Conflict is the outlier, but there must be something that delayed that...
IA Typically gets banged out quicker for that reason - taking less time in development, but still about the same in shipping... As it was, they were told to tune in "Next Week" for an Article, and that was 2.5 weeks ago... So they're promise is actually being actively broken, rather than just getting silence...
Cardboard and stickers take more time ? I'm referring to the campaign.

Heffed if I know?... Thrice I've told people not to consider my some kind of Oracle, but yet, I'm expected to have the Answers ![]()
I think the answer is pretty evident - FFG held back the release of CC to coincide with the release of Wave 5.
I thought this was an answered question ever since it was revealed that (some) CC squadrons have Wave 5 keywords.
It's possible that CC is already in their warehouses waiting to be shipped and we're just waiting on the rest of Wave 5 to arrive for the joint distribution to begin.
For example, the way that FFG distributes the LCGs is they print the entire run at once, ship it at once, and then it languishes in a warehouse to be distributed at the appropriate time. Meanwhile the status on the upcoming product page of each release goes through the motions as if it were truly still at the printer or travelling. This isn't the case though. The Lions of Casterly Rock box for AGOT was clearly delayed due to the Hanjin shipping incident, but we didn't miss any of the packs themselves (at least here in the states). International distributors have mistakenly released the product early, or there have been packs leaked and/or purchased in advance because they're literally just sitting in a warehouse.
Tl;DR
CC is part and parcel of Wave 5. It was likely finished a while ago and they're waiting to release the whole thing in one fell swoop.

I'm not sure either. As far as I'm concerned you are part of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor, and should be taken away.

Why would they do that? It seems to me that Wave V might crowd out the Corellian Conflict, but less so vice versa. I think they would sell more copies of CC if it came to market earlier.

I hope you have a better class of soldier than those Stormtroopers.....
You'll need them to try...
Better Idea....release CC and cash in on people buying doubles of squadron packs to get the aces before the next wave of squadrons arrive.
I never said that I thought it was a good business idea, and I'm not even absolutely sure that it happened the way that I describe.
All my thought process was is that CC was announced a good bit of time before Wave 5, by all interpretations should have taken much less of a development process as Wave 5, and ended up being put on the boat at the exact same date and time as Wave 5.
So, in my mind, that's pretty telling and at least decent circumstantial evidence to support my theory.

Rebel scum!
Some day I should come up there to Hothgary (or wherever) and crush you myself!

I think you're trying to find purpose where there probably was just misfortune. FFG's logistics seem thoroughly plagued with inconsistencies and it's probably the price they pay for relatively cheap overseas production.
Edited by Mikael HasselsteinIt's GW sabotaging the ships so they must drift helplessly on their way to the US. GW is jealous because FFG broke up with them.

Misfortune I absolutely understand.
Maybe they meant it to come out early, but a misfortune in printing that set a delay still wouldn't explain the fact that it started on the boat the exact same day as the rest of Wave 5.

I'm not sure I follow. Wouldn't a printing delay perfectly explain why it would have gone on the same boat as Wave V? It might have caught the earlier boat if it was done on time. But it wasn't, so it caught the same boat as Wave V.
Besides, wasn't your theory that it's already sitting in the warehouses taking up space and collecting dust - costing money, rather than making money - while it waits on Wave V to arrive?

That is my theory, yes.
I suppose that if the printing delay happened exactly right, then CC could have missed the 10/11 boat and the 10/21 boat and then have been ready just in time for the 10/31 boat with the rest of Wave V to be ready to set sail.
I'm pretty lazy but I bet Dras remembers off the top of his head when CC was announced, and went to "at the printer" and how long it was at the printer before moving to "on the boat" in comparison to the rest of Wave 5. I seem to remember it being an awful long time for a cardboard/cardstock product that then had a printing delay that was then resolved in the exact ten day period that the rest of Wave 5 finished being packaged to be shipped. I prefer to think of it more as a grand conspiracy than mere happenstance ![]()
I guess my real point here is that there is no way that the upcoming product page is actually an accurate progress report.

Well, I guess we each need ways in order to make sense (and drama) of the world around us. ![]()

I can't see the benefits of this (assuming you are correct, and you certainly appear to be.) Why delay CC? It's a campaign! People who don't play in tournaments for whatever reason are more likely to play in long term games like this. And since most campaigns will be organized at/by game stores, you have more people showing up to play, which is a better indicator of the health of the community and also packs the store on campaign night, meaning greater visibility of the game itself. With casual customers seeing all these people having a great time , they are more likely to buy in themselves. CC is an opportunity to expand the player base AND get slam dunk product out IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS. Why they would hold off something so simple possibly until INTO THE NEW YEAR is downright baffling.
It's December 1st.
It no longer matters to me if CC/W5 could theoretically reach US stores.
2017 then.
