Spent Today at Red Claw Gaming in Edmonton.

1) It was a Crazy ass drive down there.

2) It was a nice, fun, quick, 8 player Setup...

3) The first Two rounds saw no player score above 7.

When I got to the Top Table... I played against a True Veteran in Shaun, of which I had a pseudo mirror list of, and he simply outplayed me... Outmanevered, constantly locked down, and adapted quicker when ships ran squadrons over... On Kills, it was a close game, but he ran away with the Fire lanes in the end, and he righteously deserved the victory in the end...

My loss, and the total and utter capitulation of those below me catapulted me from 2nd to 5th in the End.

Oh well.

How about that serious weather swing in the Northeast US? I left work on Saturday ay 5pm, saw a smaller brush fire on the ride home, and it was over 50F. By 630, it started to hail, and the temps went down to the low 30's. Wacky!

And that you should also present all of the facts.

There are two kinds of Ice involved. There is the Sea Ice, and there is the Shelf ice... Now, the lack of one, and the releative growth presence of the other, is indicative of long term Climate Change.

Climate Change is Happening. That is not something that can be disputed anymore. There are enough records now to support a basic standard fact that on the short-to-mid term, the Change is happening.

The political question is weather this is because of Humanity or Not.

Technically what I read is that, while the iced area is growing, its thickness is shrinking, with the net effect of the reduction of the ice volume on the poles.

Or maybe you're denying the whole climate change thing? I don't get it.

We have Last Friday....

Now, of course, we have US Thanksgiving coming up sometime this week. I will be honest, I am oblivious to it, for two facts:

1) Its in the US. I don't understand many things the US does.

2) Its Thanksgiving. I don't understand Thanksgiving... A Holiday in October/November? Why Bother... Christmas is just over there if you're the Holiday type, and the Melbourne Cup is in November for a day to get Drunk on...

...

So anyway. Are we expecting a Wave 5 Article? Because the Caveat is, even if we get a Wave 5 Article, 1 per week, starting today, we won' get all 4 Articles done in such a time that we'll have Stock before Christmas anyway.....

Here's an interesting tidbit of information from today's article:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the GENCON winner has not gotten travel and accommodations before. Might be worth making the drive out to Indy just to see if I can win the trip to Worlds.

Thanksgiving is a wonderful way to breakup the last few months of the year with paid vacation days at work. For some of us at least... Maybe it's a conspiracy from the Turkey breeders group to sell more Turkey!

I dig a nice meal with family, and it's like one of the 1-2 times a year you get to see a lot of them.
