Article Predictions. Mostly General Discussion. But there's definately some Predictions scattered throughout.

Can we... Move off this subject?

This is generally a perception issue - in which people take movies as a hard line experience, but others take supporting documents and novels as just that - supporting documents.

Tge result is two people talking past each other with increasing hyperbole until someone drops a certain acronym (no guessing, please) and the thread gets locked.

As far as we know, we’re still on target for a Q1 release of the SSD, and Arquitens have hit distributors recently - and Spain tells us they are expecting Squadron Packs soon, so we could well be looking at some of the worst out-of-stockers being resolved at least in the short term... A happier day to be involved in Armada on that side.

I thought they said Q2, which assuming they mean fiscal year, would put us Jan-Mar. Q1 would be Oct-Dec

They’ve always had Jan-Mar as Q1. Because Christmas is Q4 to them.

As in, their quarterly tournament schedule - it’s never been directly related to anyone else’s ideas of a fiscal or instatute year.

To quote:

Look for the Super Star Destroyer Expansion Pack (SWM20) early in the first quarter of 2019, and pre-order your copy at your local retailer or online through our website today!

Huh, didnt realise that. Things i kearned today.

Saw a cool Clone Wars ship video. A lot of ships I’d like to see in game:

I predict we will get an article for some of these within the next 48 months.

Thanks man, you just guaranteed we won't see any of them for at least 49 months :P

You know who I feel really bad for with the way FFG treats this game? The outside content creators making blogs/podcasts talking about the game. I LOVE Fire When Ready, but there hasn't been a cast in nearly 4 months and he's missed NOTHING, which is just depressing.

^Yeah no rush by FFG it seems.

Do you think they are mad that the SSD got spoiled? (Although if you put out a whole pamphlet on the subject what do you really expect).

To people mute astonished I guess.

Correct, FFG's Quarters (and lots of other retailers, in my experience) have the following breadkdown:

Q1 = Jan-Mar
Q2 = Apr-Jun
Q3 = Jul-Sept
Q4 = Nov-Dec

Historically, when FFG suggests QX for a release, the actual release was almost without fail QX+1 or QX+2. That said, they've gotten a bit more timely after the Asmodee Merger, and have even hit a few of their targets. That said, if I was a betting man, I'd bet on the SSD in late February.

Lol then I was born in Q3 3/4

we're getting closer to an entire year with no new armada product being released. Get ready people, can you feel the excitement?

To be pedantic, as soon as a product for any game drops, that game is getting closer to an entire year with no new product being released. So we're just like everyone else.

I just hope that if the New epic format is a big success there will be enough stock so people can expand their fleets.

This is a problem I'd like the see the game have, as opposed to the one it currently has of fading into obscurity.

Considering we’ve had multiple people asking about missing Arqs, Hammers and Squads - we might already.

As much as we are all waiting for this SSD article, we are well into S4 and no one has an article with those kits.

And the fact that they are reprinting these now (finally) and they are coming back in stock has to be a good sign, doesn't it?

Wait I thought the one with home one was s4.

Im starting to think we wont see anything before the New Year.

Hmm, I'm betting a December 31st reveal just to Spite us!

Once December hit I wasn't expecting it before the new year. December is a rough month to put actual news in while trying to focus on selling for the holiday. I'm not saying they haven't been for legion/X-wing/other but we're pretty much the lowest rung on the totem currently so a lack of attention makes sense this month. I'd imagine we'll get an article or two in January with a release in February.

Still crazy to me that we'll go a whole year w/out a release, I like a slow schedule but in my mind slow is like every 6 to 10 months, 12+ is really pushing it to stay relevant.

Yes I really do think they are pushing it with their community engagement. Not to mention actual releases.
