It is getting to be a bit ridiculous that they haven’t yet released any ssd articles. They could easily leak out the info slowly thru several articles.

So I have a real question with a semi optimistic, but ultimately I suspect it'll be pessimistic, tone. What is the history of new stuff being announced in the late fall/early winter months? I'm concerned now that we've reached November that our announcement outlook has been pushed back to late feb / early march.

The SSD was never announced as a new wave, just as the "Super Star Destroyer expansion". Seems much more like a special release like the X-Wing epic ships than anything close to a wave.
Plus, it'd be a pretty poor wave if it was a one-ship release that was only available for one of the two factions.

TBD, they haven't named the SSD "wave 8" but who knows.
What I really wanna know is if the new game mode that is being released with the SSD is just a point bump or whether it's going to have specific set of rules making the game different from the 600-1200 pointers I already play...

I don't mean that as a dig at FFG. I just truly think they pulled the team off of Armada for other projects once the SSD was nailed down, and they probably don't have anything in the pipeline far along enough to even think about Wave 8 yet.
