I would think it will be several months before we see an ssd article. I have a feeling that there will not be a rebel release until the summer or fall of 2019 but that is just a feeling, hopefully I am wrong.

I predict that by the end of the month they'll be announcing wave 8. When they announced the first huge ships in X-wing, they ended up announcing the next wave before they were actually released. I presume since FFG has become increasing efficient since 2013/2014 that we will likely see news about an actual wave before the end of the year. My hope is by the end of august for a Q4 release....

So what you’re saying is that if they post it on the Friday we technically can’t complain it’s being a full year since the last wave was announced? FFG trollface.jpg

I honestly don't see another wave before the SSD. They've got an expanded product line now and announced new factions for two games that we should be likely seeing sometime middle next year. Along with the SSD the continuation of rune wars, xwing needing first order and resistance models, and no current announcement about the end of Imperial Assault I think points to a lot of models being made already.

I am really hoping we get a new campaign this fall though. It wouldn't require any of their mini production capability but would certainly be able to change the meta prior to the SSD.

Nationals events don’t technically have set times, so it’s hard for them to plan when to release details of prizes beforehand ?
