most wont, they set a date "eventually". The biggest issue with I have FFG being so late in this announcement is that stores are semi ****** on their dates(it's june 6th man, they announced that store championships will start starting tomorrow, furcking ******).


/shrug, I'll keep an ongoing list on here I'm hoping people will post dates in as they find them out so you might find something local.

Man my area is definitely not a rich opportunity to hit up several events. Either I drive 3+ hrs south to NOVA territory, or I have to head to New England to get events (or go west to Pittsburgh/Ohio, no offense @BiggsIRL). There are approximately 3 stores on that list in my 2hr bubble I prefer for a single day event.

Even the store I won a SC at last year isn't hosting one this year. Bummer.

Nearly Friday. We've had an XW and Legion article this week. What's the betting for a Destiny article as well?

Something big might eventually be coming sooner or later, but don't quote me on this priceless nugget of information.

At this point I start to think we might get armada 2.0 . This, or Armada gets nothing whole year. Its either the devs are busy with the other shiny games, or working on something BIG, which needs more time to develop unlike a simple ship expansion. I believe all tabletop game by ffg will have similar app like xwing 2.0 introduces. Lets stay positive, and put the last crumble of our faith in ffg, lets cross fingers theyll delviver and armada will become even better.

Once this premieres in October, we'll get the announcement for the Resistance and First Order Factions and their new core set.

They wouldn't do both at the same time. They'll wait and see how people react to X-Wing's app, and how popular second edition is. If Armada gets the same treatment, it won't be until after X-Wing has been settled in for a while.

I strongly believe that app will be a massive succes, and a key element in any future modern boardgame.

I just found my old Jihad / Vampire The Eternal Struggle cards from a couple of decades ago and decided to motivate our gaming group to play for a while. I used to love this game and spend all my money into it when I was a young adult.

Why am I telling you this? Here is why:

When Jihad was launched, it was supposed to replace Magic, being better, more elaborate, more fun and all... Eventually Jihad, which was more complex, took longer to play and was not conducive to tournament play as it was a 4 player game minimum started fading and eventually disappeared.

See where I'm getting at? I can't help but make a parallel between Jihad / Magic and Armada / Xwing...

I apologize if this is another Armada is dying post, just wanted to share that thought.

Check out those sweet Legion bases. FFG has soo much time on their hands now that they dropped Armada, they can create bases. Cool. Cuz I needed more bases for my based army.
